You never disappoint, unfold.  Another story to be favorited and enjoyed many times over.  Such a simple concept, a drive in the mountains, becomes replete with meaning and beautiful images of their love when you type it out here.  Love how Jim captures her face on film right after she tells him she loves him for the first time.  Awesome.

Love how this begins in such an exhilarating way because it makes the final two frames seem like a moment to catch one's breath.  Make sense?

as i read this, i literally felt like i was on a drive through the mountains with the windows down instead of in my stuffy apartment with the shades drawn because it's my bedtime. love.

Okay, I'm back.  I've read this about six times now and it's still making me deliriously happy.  The whole scene is the epitome of "show, don't tell" and it's so masterfully done.  I love the model train image, Jim wondering what she's going to do with all of his smiles, that he wasted her first roll of film, that Pam has her shoes off in the car.  I can see the picture of him with his eyes closed and a big grin on his face.  It's all beautiful.

Guh. Speechless . . . .
... ok, a few words. All of the imagery is beautiful, but this - "You have a flash suddenly of taking one of these turns too quickly causing the world to turn into a sudden blur. The camera crashing on the pavement, the film spilling out of it, all of those smiles vanishing with the sun -" -- this got me.
Fantastic.

Ok, this is a little morbid but I liked your horrible tragic flash at the beginning.  I do that all the time.  Bad things never end up happening but I still have little flashes like that.  The whole thing was very sweet though.

This is like reading what it's like to be in love and utterly content. I love stories like this, where one simple scene/moment tells more about the characters than 20 complicated chapters. So much to love - the metaphor of driving up the mountain; that sense of joyous abandon, that's not really reckless, cause they're watching out for each other (seat belts, pay attention to the road); the intimacy of being together inside the car...and especially, the idea of them capturing/memorializing these fleeting moments by taking pictures. So lovely and visual and tangible. I'm rambling...can you tell I liked it, lol?

I feel like it's Christmas in October with all of the new stories from you.  This was just beautiful imagery and sweet moments that left me with a smile on my face.  Lovely.

Montage Mountain?  I'm speechless, so this review can't do any kind of justice, but I've got to say how perfect this is.  Just perfect.

wow. this is amazing. first of all, this is a very easy thing to imagine, but your way with words is what makes the story. the descriptions, are amazing, the imagery really vivid. nicely done.
