Oh my god this chapter was brilliant. Loved getting to see into both Pam and Scully's heads, sort of going through the same thing, just different scenarios.
*Sometimes acting like nothing was wrong, like he hadn’t shattered her as if she was made of porcelain and then looked at the glue in his hand like he had no idea what to do with it, sometimes that was too hard for her. Sometimes it was impossible.*
...and
*Sometimes she hated the way that she would lie awake at night and stare at the ceiling, wondering if he could ever see her as an actual woman after all of the hours she spent silently begging him to treat her like a man.
Sometimes she hated the fact that she had done this to herself.*
I really hope these two get to have a heart to heart at some point.
SO GOOD

I'm enjoying all of this so much, but this chapter inspired me to start commenting. The structure, and especially the repetition of the structure, is really fantastic. It highlights the content instead of detracting from it, which is always the (tricky) goal when you use a formal structure. Nice!

"Pam’s problem had always been that she had impossible dreams, so she’d resigned herself to living in nightmares."
What a beautiful line. I love the parallels between Pam and Scully.
Author's Response: thanks

Wow. I'm not a fan of angst but that was such an immaculately pattern chapter! Love the circular logic. And really, Mulder's ass. Nice.
Author's Response: thank you so much, I'm excited that you're reading this fic!

Honestly, this is a wonderfully fun and different story. I'm totally enjoying it. And I must tell you that there are passages and THs that are soooooo on the money (like Scully awesome) and emotional that literally I had to pause at least twice, like full out pause and say to myself, "wow". So, no more worries, this is terrific and I can't wait to read more.
Author's Response: ugh uncgirl thank god!!! I'm so excited that you read these chapters and liked them. Despite my "I'm just going to have a good time" attitude with this one, I'm still a little dependent on my trusty beta team and what you guys think. So thanks for the comment ;-) I really appreciate it.

Holy God am I in love with you right now. I literally did a happy dance at reading the intro to the first chapter. MSR and JAM?!!? I am so excited about this story, it's really a little ridiculous. I can't wait for more!!!
Author's Response:
hahaha!! Thanks for this awesome review! I have more already written, i just have to edit and then post so keep your eyes peeled. MSR and JAM is so much like a dream come true that I think I'm a little over-zealous in writing it ;-) So I understand your enthusiasm. lol.
