Author's Response: Hahaha. Possibly. I could try to muster up something for that song. I think LoveFool has already done "The Way That I Am" in fic-form. So, you might do check out some of her newest fics. I know she's been inspired by Ingrids music this week too! So, somewhere between the two of us, you'll see a "The Way that I am" ficlet. :) THanks for reading!

I liked this a lot. It had a dreamy, middle-of-the-night feel. "It’s just a little rain, he’d say. She’d believe him too. Even if the weather man was reporting tornadoes or flooding. She’d believe every word he said, as long as he was wrapping his arms around her." Lovely and very comforting.

Can't go wrong with Ingrid Michaelson...looks like great minds think alike -- I just posted something that was inspired by one of her songs. This was just beautiful...I love the idea of Pam being just a little bit afraid of thunder and lightening and lying next to Jim... really lovely.

This is brilliant. I was a little unsure considering you said it was fluff and I don't generally associate this particular song (wonderful though it is) with fluff ... probably Grey's Anatomy's fault. However once I started reading everything fitted into place. There is some really beautiful imagery throughout and the song actually fits perfectly. Thanks for a great read!

Oh, beautiful!! I haven't heard the Ingrid Michaelson song, but this actually reminds me of that song Electrical Storm by U2. Although that's about a relationship falling apart...so not really.
Maybe I'm just thinking of that line 'the night it is aching/two lovers lie with no sheets on their bed'. So sonically I had the gorgeous xylophone chimes and the pulsing swell of the storm from that song going through my head while I was reading.
Not really sure if that made sense. Anyway, the point is I loved it :) Very sweet.

I am such a sucker for this kind of fic. It was beautifully written all the way through, and I especcially loved the end with her wanting the thunder to come back so he will pull her closer. Gorgeous job!
