Always still interested in pretty much anything you could write :) I really liked this chapter, the discussion about music, and Jim's self-deprecating indie music taste. And bold Pam, sliding in from behind, was also good good fun. Looking forward to more.

Author's Response: Thanks so much, albie_!  I'm guessing at Jim's music taste (mostly based on the haircut),but I found it kind of plausible.  I'm glad you did, too!

I've really missed this story...thanks you for continuing! This chapter was the perfect blend of awkwardness and passion that was just completely Jim and Pam. I think it's the small things that really define them, and you've really shown that, with the simple dialog and Pam's small hand movements. I hope you continue...it's just that good!

Author's Response: Absolutely, honeypioneer!  Awkward passion is all there is on The Office, since none of the characters has that much self-confidence (except for maybe Darryl).  Thank you!

So glad you picked this up again and that I found it.  I hope you continue.

Author's Response: Thanks, gotkona!

i really like this story. and i love this chapter. because it's good to see snippets of who they really are and life outside of what we see. this feels real. i will wait patiently for updates. :)

Author's Response: Thank you very much, rulesofjinx.  It's hard to know how much detail is docu-style realism and how much is just plain boring for readers.  I am so glad you liked it!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the update.  I've been missing this story.

Author's Response: You're welcome, Annika.  Thank you!

So glad you decided to come back to this fic as The Office S4, Pt. 2 looms near.  I love how Pam realizes that the ball is in her court, so to speak, so move things forward.  And she does.  Can't wait for more.

Hope you are enjoying your final days of quiet before the little one arrives.  My best to you both!

Author's Response: Thank you, EH!  It could be any time now, so I'm expecting a very busy summer!

Oh, the "yes/no/can it be now?" set me on fire.   Wow.  How many first date fics have there been?  Eleventy million?  Doesn't matter.  This is the perfect blend of awkward and weird comfortable and sweet and hot.  So hot.  I really love Pam's hand inching toward his neck and that slide down his chest under his shirt.  Oh my!  And HURRAY for no tears and loss of judgment!  Can't wait for that!  Welcome back, Annabel - you've been greatly missed!

Author's Response: Yay!  I'm so glad you liked it, Sweetpea!  Eleventy million and rising, but it's a fun scenario to write.

Again, just perfectly rendered.  I always feel like I'm in capable hands when I open a chapter of yours.  Have you ever considered writing a novel? Just curious...

Author's Response: Thanks so much for that, nomadshan!  Yes, I'm working on a couple of things, but I love Office stories for a change of pace, and also because the characters are sort of pre-built, so you can use it as a bit of a sandbox to try out things.

I was just thinking about this story the other day. This is so exciting.

Wow, wow, wow. Your tag for your next chapter was just cruel!!

Author's Response: Sorry, DunderSnob.  I hope the next chapter softens the blow.  ;)

Annabel hits it out of the park once again!  Words cannot begin to express how happy I am at this moment to have you and this lovely story back.    Seriously--my heart is racing.  This was...wow.  You have reminded me once again why you are listed as one of my favorite authors.  This paragraph alone makes me want to dance:  He clears his throat. “Oh, well,” he says, “in a way, the whole collection is a bit weak. It’s all very heartfelt and indie-sincere. My old roommate used to mock me, and say I was in serious need of a kick in the head and a blowjob…” He winces slightly, and cranes his head to give her an apologetic look. “Wow, sorry. That was not… sorry about that.”  Heeeeeeee : )

I hope all is well with you.  I know that last we heard from you, you were awaiting a momentous event.  Believe me, whenever you feel like writing some more, I'm here to read.  I am SOOOO interested. Keep going, girl.

Author's Response: Thank you, NanReg.  Your reviews are always so generous!  That paragraph made me happy when I wrote it, too.  I am still awaiting the momentous event (but it can't possibly be far away now).

Wow, AW. That was all kinds of hot. REALLY, really liked this chapter (well, all of this, really, but this chapter filled a need this afternoon). Thanks so much for that.

This was entirely too hot for a Wednesday afternoon!  Awesome chapter..if I read right, the next one will be a continuation of this moment?  I hope so!

I'm still loving this story and does that mean the next chapter is smut/fluff heavy? Because that would be pretty freaking happy. No matter what I can't wait for the next chapter.

I was just cruising the message boards, thinking to myself, wow, everyone is really spinning their wheels here.  Why doesn't someone AWESOME post some AWESOME new fanfic?  And while I'm making demands, can it be kind of steamy, too?  And *poof*  here it is!

I'm ever so happy to see you aren't letting those pregnant lady hormones go to waste.  Nothing about this is too fast.  Damn straight, girlfriend!

I love that they are attempting to have a silly nothing conversation and Pam just happens to slide her hand down his shirt.  ('Ol Pammy is getting what she wants!!)  I can't blame the girl one iota.

Author's Response: Thanks, lisahoo!  Yes, pregnancy hormones, like high temperatures, sure help to fuel the smutcakes.  If only they also didn't make me want to nap all day, as well!

My goodness, Annabel. This series is like a drug. Agree with everyone's comments re: that killer last line. But before that - the image of Jim walking laboriously through the sand, then retracing his steps away from her - such a palpable sense of the exhausting effort it takes for him to just not, when it comes to Pam. Terrific.

Okay, bring on the evil robots, sister ;-)

Author's Response: I know, I got tired just writing it.  At this point, they've played out the same scenario so many times that it's kind of exhausting for everyone concerned.  There is an easy way out of the deadlock, but they are never on the same wavelength long enough to see it.  Thank you so much, Colette!

This is wonderful, Annabel.  Just exactly what I imagine those moments on the beach and Jim's night might have been like - no big speechifying moments, but a big current of feelings running underneath.  Love the closing line.

Author's Response: Thank you, Sweetpea!  I guess (other than those short, halting monologues in Casino Night and Beach Day) they just aren't really speechifying characters.  They can talk, but they're bad at communicating.

Your writing is so beautiful.  He closes his eyes, but sleep is still a long way away, and regret waits patiently in the dark.  Such a gorgeous close.  Angst or no, this was a pleasure to read.

Author's Response: Thank you so much, Vampiric Blood.  It seemed, throughout the NYC sections of The Job, that Jim seemed to be putting a little bit of effort into being focussed on Karen.  I thought maybe a scenario like this might explain why.

I especially like the opening paragraphs with Roy.  You created a moment there that is perfectly plausible.

This was bleak- to the bleak degree... not bad but certainly not happy- though you never promised fluff- I liked it, but want to get to the more happy aspects... post the job, please??? I'm addicted though and will read regardless!

Author's Response: Post The Job is finally here, nearly two months later!  Thank you, dreamscribe70!
