Yay, Jim isn't a vulture, but he's not a eunuch either!  (And doesn't every guys penis talk to him?)

Oh, Jim, being all noble and what not! Such a good guy. I think that giving her the 2nd reassuring kiss was a good idea. Have a great weekend!

"The little pilot light of happiness burning inside of Pam intensified"

That line was soo.... wow.  I was smiling before, but then I just beamed.  I haven't reviewed yet, so let me start with saying what a great story.  Love Pam for growing some cojones.  Love Jim for being JIM (sigh).  Mark was awesome and such a real friend to Jim.  Pam's mom is the greatest mom ever (after my own of corse), even though she should have said SOMETHING.  But being who she is, she just knew Pam would get it.

Please continue with the updates.  You think reviews are like crack, but to me YOUR STORY is my addiction.  KEEP IT UP (TWSS)

God, she felt like she was combustible, like if one tiny square inch of his skin touched hers she would ignite and fire would just consume her until she was a little pile of ashes on the couch

Great job with this story! I love how Jim brought over 6 sandwiches...something that Jim would totally do. I can't wait for more :)

"Every set of eyes was on him and that strange little basket he was holding so carefully."  OMG, Roy had to carry the communion basket of puke? Ewww.

"The pastor signaled for the string quartet to fill the air with something besides speculation."   You have such an amazing way with words.  This sentence was just pefect.

Author's Response: Thanks kay! Really, really nice to hear that.

Another totally awesome, totally believable chapter. You are doing a great job with this, I like the way it is all serious and then the last part of the last line is amusing, at least to me.

Author's Response: Thanks, kaystar. Glad it rings true. And the mixture of humor and serious is always my favorite blend of emotions ;-) Thanks for your review!

"Tell her that he was incurably in love with her."

"She looked like someone who was drowning in her own life and nobody would reach in and pull her out."

I love those lines so much I'd marry them if I could. And I'd go through with it, too.  I *heart* this story.

Author's Response: Ah, kaystar. Thanks so much!

This was an amazing beginning!  I loved all of Pam's thoughts of Jim as she walked down the aisle.

Author's Response: Thanks, Kay. Wasn't sure how to deal with thoughts of Jim and also just thoughts of dread . . . it's all so mixed up in Pam's head, I think. Hope it worked! Thanks for your comments!

You say you need comments to keep going, and since I too understand the need for comment whoring, I have finally decided to type. I read all of this yesterday and have been eagerly awaiting updates. Keep going! I'm really liking the way this is playing out. I love how Pam has finally figured out that she shouldn't be with Roy and that Jim doesn't know how to react. It's all very believable. I can't wait til you update again! :)

Author's Response: Thanks freckles! Yeah, there is something about feedback that just motivates like nothing else. I'm glad you're enjoying this story -- I really hadn't planned on writing it but it just took over. I appreciate your comments!

WOW. Just...um....wow. The most perfect blend of lighthearted fun with dramatic undercurrents dusted with just a smidgen of smooching. Love it! Can't wait to see what happens next! Will Pam break down? Will Jim expound on his "more than" confession? Will they throw caution to the wind and give us a little steam? Inquiring minds want to know! :-)

Author's Response: Wow right back at ya, SV! You've just absolutely articulated my goal as a writer, I think (blend of lighthearted fun, dramatic undercurrents and smooching). I'm not kidding! I really appreciate it! Glad it's working for ya. ;-) As for what happens next -- your guess is as good as mine ;-)

WOOOOOOH! I LOVE THIS STORY! I'm preparing to write a song about it and sing it for the world to hear. (: I'm excited for the rest; KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK!

Author's Response: Oooh, can you get that song up on itunes? ;-) Thanks for the comments! Greatly appreciated.

That kiss is very hot. The whole onion paragraph is so beautiful and a wonderful description of Pam's past, present and future feelings.

Author's Response: Mmm. What kiss with Jim isn't hot? Glad you liked the onion thing . . . I understood in my mind what I wanted to say but wasn't sure it came across clearly... Thanks so much for your comments!

lol nice.  I LOVE the shout out.  I think you and I have just turned Beef 'n Cheddars into fanon...some kind of weird metaphor or else just something Pam loves.  Thank you I am honored!  And don't you dare change it to something about McDonald's.

Author's Response: Stablergirl, so glad you don't mind. I've just been living for "Famous" and I've got beef 'n cheddars on the brain, I guess. Now, thanks for the comments (and the permission to plagarize ...or whatever... a bit) . . . but get writing. You've got a mob of addicted readers (with me being your biggest flan) who are on pins and needles to see what happens to alterna-Pam and Jim!

As if I could not stay tuned!  I am deliriously happy right now.  Wow.  Here's to bad champagne and little pilot lights.

Author's Response: Here here! Glad you enjoyed that, Nan!!!

I like the idea of steam, but I hope it's not gonna be too soon. Pam needs to deal with the fallout of everything otherwise it might taint the relationship with Jim. I was so excited to see you updated! Yay!!!! I can't wait to see what you have in store next!

Author's Response: No, not too soon, bee. In fact . . . I could slip and give a little hint that it won't be nearly as soon as some might think... Whoa! Talk about a tease, I know. Thanks so much for the comments!

"She looked like someone who was drowning in her own life and nobody would reach in and pull her out."

Wow. GREAT line. And I am enjoying this so much!

Author's Response: Thanks so much! Yeah, that's how I always pictured Pam . . . just kind of being swept away by a current she couldn't (or didn't know how to) control. Thanks for commenting!

Wow! I just found this story and I love it. Love, love, love that drama of the last minute "I can't" -- and you've executed it so well that it feels organic. Somehow still like the show even though it's very clearly AU. Is it silly to be proud of a fictional character? Because I was so proud of Pam for being brave enough to say "I don't" even though it was the 11th hour. And I have to admit I was almost equally proud of Jim for showing up at the wedding no matter how hard it might be for him because he's trying to be a good friend to Pam -- which is exactly what she needs. Of course, once he's let her cry on her shoulder and she's had say, 8 hours to mourn the end of her relationship with Ray, I think the smooching should commence. Does that make me a bad person?

I am really enjoying the way this story unfolds and I can't wait to see what happens when Jim goes to see Pam at the hotel. OH -- and I loved the nod to "Famous" as it is also one of my absolute favorite stories in the fandom. Good taste!

Author's Response: First, totally agree about "Famous" -- I love a lot of fic, but that one has me wrapped around its little finger. Second, I didn't even give Pam 8 hours to mourn before the smooching commenced (whoops!). Does THAT make me a bad person? ;-) Thanks so much for all of your comments, as always.

It really wouldn't upset me too much if Jim were a bit of a vulture.

“It’s me,” she said unnecessarily. “The runaway bride.”
“Yeah, that’s what it said on my caller ID.”
Love that.  Love this story.  So deliciously wrong for the runaway bride to invite her best friend to the honeymoon suite.  No, wait, just plain delicious.  Waiting...

Ok, you're totally awesome with the posting of many wonderful chapters in such a short time, but the suspense is killing me. So if you could post, say 37 chapters, like today, that would be great. Seriously, loving this story and can't wait for the next part.
