Nice set-up.  Changing the tone of the events very nicely.  And I love that Dwight had a farm radio following!

Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you liked the Dwight bit.  I have a hard time writing the other characters (that's why they aren't really in here) so it was fun getting to play with Dwight a little. Thanks for your review.

Really liked this chapter, brought a different kind of angle to it. I am a bit surprised that even after this time Pam is still very bitter, but I guess it shows how much it hurt her at the time, and maybe she's still feeling the pain.

I'm v.curious as to what happened between Jim and Pam, but this line is worrying me:

He pointed out to me that I was guilty of the same thing. Maybe that was the beginning of our end, so to speak

I hope I'm wrong :P

Author's Response:

Noodles--Thanks so much for your review.  I really appreciate your feedback and I hope you like where theis story goes. Remember, in writing her letter, Pam is controlling her own story here.  Is she telling the total truth? Is she letting her reader assume something? Maybe.

I'm interested in the fact that you think Pam seems bitter and I guess you are right. I was kind of going for her to be wary of the public and the media and longing to be left alone.  Back on the beach, she told Jim that all she wanted was to live her life without eyes on her and I think that she still feels the same way.

Thanks so much for your review!!!

I just about lost it after Mrs. Bea Galactica.  So then to have that all be part of a challenge to insert weird words?  I died!  Nice to get a Jim And Pam Moment in there, too.  Especially since you just know that Anna noticed.  (Fingers crossed I get to see Michael doing some PR thing sometime soon.)

Wow.  I can't believe I wasn't aware of this story before now!  Thanks to nqllisi for rec-ing it to me.  The premise is amazing, the set-up is perfect, the idea of giving extra media training to, ahem, certain people is spot-on; it's just fabulous and I can't wait for more!

I am still loving this story!  I am becoming fearful that you'll manage to end it, though, and leave us as in the dark as Abby is right now.

Never you mind about the wait between chapters.  It's worth it!

Author's Response: Awww....VB. Thanks so much. I'm glad that you are still loving it and I'm pretty sure you'll find the ending satisfactory...not all of the answers, but i hope enough to proivide closure to the story. Thanks, as always for your kind reviews.

Oooh. Poor Jim. Poor Pam. Poor, poor Hilary Swank. This is an amazing accomplishment and I can't wait to see how you end it.

Author's Response: Poor everyone! Thank you so much for your kind words. They are greatly appreciated!!

OK, so I just decided to plunge into this story today. I've gotten through, what, 10, 11 chapters already? I'm so impressed. I'm just dumbfounded, actually, but I had to stop and catch my breath to prepare for Casino Night, so I thought I should say "Wow". Thank you for this. It is incredible.

Great chapter. Answers some things and still leaves others unknown. The middle Swank part is lovely to read.

So...Toby, eh?

Author's Response:

Yeah, Toby.  I started this story way back in April last year, so it kind of went AU in the Toby regard after GT. So yeah, Anna and Toby are together.  Thanks for your review of this chapter and your appreciation of what happened with Hilary :)

Spot. On.  The part about how we got the filtered version and didn't see all the headaches and trips to the post office and what not?  Brilliant!  Can't wait for the next chapter :)

Author's Response: WB!!!! Thanks so much for your review and your kind words.  I've told myself that i can't read any stories until this chapter was complete. That was cruel torture because you updated this week. I plan on treating myself with a reread of your entire story this weekend.  Thanks again for your review. It's greatly appreciated.

I'm still really enjoying this story. It's such a fun way of looking at the story, and I'm so excited to see it updated even if sad to see it's winding down. Of course, this being fic, I do hope we get to see how it ends, outside the documenting of the documentary. (And I'm not too ashamed to admit I hope it's a happy ending.)

Author's Response: Hi niblejack. Thanks so much for your review. In a way I'm sad it's winding down too.  You will get to see how it ends...well, kind of.  Thanks so much for your kind words. They are greatly appreciated.

I always welcome a visit from you, GiTC.  I'm just so glad you haven't given up on this.  This chapter was hard.  My stomach's in a knot.  Love the appearance of Hilary Swank--nice touch.  Now I'll always have a soft spot for her, too ; )

Author's Response: Awwww. NanReg.  I have to give you props because through your review, I realized I put an extra L in Ms. Swank's first name.  It was a hard chapter, wasn't it? Poor Pam.  Remember, though, she told Abby that she was happy and I guess we have to believe her. Thanks as always for your continued reading and reviewing of this story.

Gosh this story is like an old friend.  And old friend with whom you want to reconnect.   More please.  Soon?   Yeah - we all want to know the full answer to #1.   I particularly love the Leno reveal.  I was so surprised.

Another home run here, GITC.  I love the focus on Pam here and I love that you had her respond in letter form.

This chapter also left me wanting to know the real answer to question #1.   Ooooo, I hope we get an answer!!!

Author's Response: Beeswax-- Thanks so much for your review.  i think you'll get a sort of answer to #1. At least that's the plan in my outline.  I really appreciate your kind words. Thanks again!

Was just emailing back & forth with jazzfan & both of us agree that you're one of our favorite authors here.  Which made me think ... what ever happened with Nobody's Business But Mine?  I sure would like to know if Pam & Jim end up together in this story.  Any more chapters forthcoming?  Please?

Author's Response:

Wow! Thanks so much for your kind words.  The short answer to your question is that work has been absolute hell this year.  I have less and less time for stuff I want to do...like write this story.

I have just posted a new chapter, so I hope that you guys enjoy it.  There are 5 more installments of this left and I hope to be more prompt with the updates.

Thanks again!

This story is like an onion.  Each chapter is peeled back and another layer is revealed.

I love the focus on Roy in this one.  Poor guy.  I also really enjoy the interview followed by narrative.  Very effective.

Author's Response:

I have a real soft spot for Roy so I'm glad you enjoyed the focus on him.  I'm also so glad to read your comments about the story being an onion.  I've worked really hard to weave in layers of information and revealing just a little more at a time.  I've known all of this stuff was going to happen since the beginning (and there were hints of it back in chapter 1 and 2) so I'm so gratified to know that my readers have picked up on that.

 Thanks again for your review.

Awesome.  You're killing me.  If Jim was the current that could carry her away to something new, Roy was her anchor…her tie to the past.  I'm just dying to know what happens, but I'm actually enjoying the anticipation.

Author's Response: NanReg-My favorite types of stories are ones with lots of anticipation in them, so i'm glad that you aren't minding me strining you along for a bit. Thanks again for your review.

I just love this story!  You do such interesting things with the characters.  I like your Roy here and the hints of what's transpired between Jim & Roy as well as Jim & Pam.

Author's Response: Hey VB...I missed this review my first pass through. Thanks so much. I'm so glad that you like my Roy.  I always work to make sure he doesn't come across as the sterotype.  since I have you here, may I put in a plea for more Cardiac Care??? Thanks again for your review!

Either you're in Austin too or there's ANOTHER cable company vs. NBC affiliate war going on out there...and if it's the former, hi, fellow Austinite Jam fan!

Author's Response: I am in Austin and I'm pissed :)  Actually, I think LIN communication has pulled their signal in a few other towns. My parents live in Wisconsin and said that Green Bay isn't getting NBC either.  Needless to say, I'll be up at 5 AM to watch the episode on hulu before work.

Glad to see another chapter and also glad that Jim has that sense of freedom that comes from getting such a huge load off his chest. I continue to really appreciate the unique format of this story.

Author's Response: Thanks, Crystallized!  As bad as Jim's confession may have seemed to him, I've always believed that he didn't regret it.  I'm so glad you like the format of this story. Thanks again!

I, for one, LOVE that we don't know for sure what happened in the hotel room. And I know I say this about pretty much every one of your chapters, but this one might be my favorite. :P Seriously, I really prefer that there's more of the technical/transcript side of things this time around than the narrative/introspective side. It adds to the tension; it allows my imagination to run wild; and it is powerful without being melodramatic.

And, on the transcript side of things, I am amazed at how tense and exciting it was to read those conversations! It's such a unique way of visualizing the action, and really, I can't imagine anything else working quite as well.

I'm SO glad you're back with this story. It's one of the few that I'm still following these days. :D

Author's Response:

As always, Mose, it's great to hear from you and to hear what you think.  I said this in another review, but I had such a blast writing the transcript of events from the crew's point of view. The chapter I posted tonight is another interview and I struggled with it.  We'll be finding out bits and pieces of what went on in the hotel room, but I'm quite happy to not divulge ALL of the details and I'm so glad that people are okay with that.

Thanks again and again for your continued support of what I put up here at MTT.

Author's Response: I've just posted another chapter, so I guess that makes me a pusher.  Anna will be making an appearance soon. Jim will be in Stemford and I'll let you wait and see about Karen.  Thanks so much for your kind review!

GiTC, I think this is the first time I have read a fic and felt genuinely pissed.  Your transcripts felt so real that I was offended at the invasion of their privacy (yup, of these two fictional characters).  Awesome job.  I'm dying for more.  Don't be a stranger, OK?

Author's Response: Wow.  Is it weird that I'm glad I made you pissed?  Thanks, as always, for your support of this story.  New chapter was posted tonight and there's some big stuff coming. I appreciate your feedback...a lot!
