Lovely!  You did a great job of letting us see Pam's thoughts.  As you know, I just love those moments when, in his sleep, Jim finally breaks through that physical barrier caused by the tension between them.

Can't wait to see what's next!

Author's Response: Thanks, VB. Jim's actions were the most fun to write…I can’t think why! rnrnThanks again for your help. BAx

This is one of my all time favorite stories. Keep up the amazing work.

Author's Response: Wow! Thanks, Pisa. I am so pleased that people seem to be enjoying this story and reviews such as the ones you have been generous enough to leave, keep me motivated to write more. Next part is 99% written and so hopefully I'll get it posted soon. Can't wait to hear what you think. BAx

this was a great chapter, looking forward to the next part. loved the london cabby lol, very authentic.

Author's Response: Hi there, foreverdreaming! Thanks so much for the review and I'm pleased that you thought the cabbie was realistic - being a Londoner myself, perhaps affords me an advantage! BA

*melts*  So. Romantic.  I'm always happy to see this fic updated, BAx, and this chap was particularly great.  I think you successfully captured the right combination of anxiety, happiness, nervousness, joy, longing--all that good stuff.  I wanted to keep reading!

Author's Response: Thanks, NanReg - you are so great to leave another review. I'm glad you liked this part and that the rollercoaster of emotions that I imagined Jim and Pam would be feeling, came across on the page/screen. Now, if I could just get my arse in gear, I could offer you up a little slice of smut as a reward for your kindness! BA ;)

Well, you know I love this chapter.  I think you got the perfect balance of hope and self-doubt.  Very much looking forward to the next chapter!

Author's Response: Thanks, VB! Gotta admit, I'm struggling with the final part of this chapter - but hope to have something written soon. BAx

No, no, no!!  DON'T eliminate the Britishisms!!  At least for Pam, leave them in.  She's been living in London for a while now.  She's bound to pick them up.  Now, if your story took place in Chicago or New York, that would be another thing.  But I think it's perfectly in character for Ms. Beesly to pick up the local lingo.

Author's Response: Thanks, VB ! It's just that I don't want the Britishisms to get in the way of the story - but with your help, I may just get there! Certainly, if I read a story about the UK version and it was chock-full of Americanisms, it would be a little jarring and would probably take away from my enjoyment. BAx

I'm so glad you got back to this. I can't wait to read the next chapter now. *hint hint*

Author's Response: Hey there, jazzfan! Thanks so much for your review - the next part is up. It took me a little longer because it ended up being almost twice as long as I'd originally intended. Hope you like it. BAx

Very glad to read a new chapter of this story. I'm sad that their journey together in London is over, but I look forward to where they go will go now.

Author's Response: Hiya, albie_! Thanks for your review. I don't think I'm done with London yet...just need to invent a way to get Jim back over the pond. Given that he promised himself that we would never again take to the skies, I think I have my work cut out. Still, I'm sure he'll make an exception for the woman he loves! Maybe... BAx

This is great. I'm really enjoying reading something where I actually know the setting for a change!

I've just read the everything in one go, and have to say - you capture certain things about London really well. The rammed bus, Camden on a Sunday, RAIN, lol.

Hope the next update isn't too far away!

Author's Response: Hey there foreverdreaming. Glad you like the story and that certain aspects ring true. rnAs much as I love London, I do not enjoy rammed buses (although if Jim was snuggled in next to me, I would be singing a different tune)and the RAIN. However, wandering around Camden Town on a sunny Sunday afternoon is a complete joy. Thanks for taking the time to review and I hope you like part two. Cheers, BAx

At last!  I've been wondering if you were still alive over there on the other side of the pond!  Love this chapter.  Or third of a chapter.

So, is Pam going to head off to the States now that Jim has sworn off air travel?  Maybe Pam has caller ID and will see that she got a call from the States?  So many possibilities.

Ooh!  Today's Britishism: Tube Carriage
American translation:       Subway Car

Author's Response: VB! I am still alive. A shadow of my former self perhaps - why did I think going back to Uni was a good idea?! rnrnAnyway, thank you for translating my latest Britishism. I should have picked that one up, duh! The trouble is that I think like a Brit and sometimes I can pick out what doesn't sound right and other times, names or expressions etc completely pass me by.rnrnThe next two parts of this chapter will move the story on quite a bit....just hope it rings true with people. Cheers, BAx

Hey. Great to see this story updated again. I really hope they can somehow work it out. I'm kinda hoping it's Pam to make the first move this time though. Please update soon :)

Author's Response: Noodles, glad you are enjoying the story. Hope you like the next part to this 3-part chapter...coming soon, I promise. BAx

Blind Assassin!  Happy New Year to you!  It's nice to have you back with this great story.  Loved this chap.  I particularly enjoyed the idea of Pam checking into Jim's hotel room.  I hope the next two parts come soon!  Looking forward to that M/MA, not above groveling... *evil chuckle*

Author's Response: A very happy New Year to you too, NanReg. Thanks so much for your kind review. I am almost done with part 2 and hope to post soon. I am without a beta though and so am trying to filter out any typos etc as well as second guessing my phasing so that Jim and Pam's voices seem credible. Also, I’ll take your evil chuckle and raise you a devilish smile. Cheers, BAx

I'm so happy to see this update!  Yay!  I'm loving the UK terms -- it's like reading Margaret Atwood or Kate Atkinson.  And of course, I cannot wait to see when Pam & Jim connect next.  And what happened at dinner.

Author's Response: Hey, Lisahoo. Thanks for the review - glad to see that people haven't given up on this story and on me. Cheers, BAx

Hmm ... any updates forthcoming?  I'd love to visit London again!

I've said it before, but I'm gonna say it again...I simply LOVE these two in London. It gets me thinking about other European cities I'd like to see them visit.
Anyway...this is such a sweet story and I like that you're not rushing things. Keep up the excellent work!

Author's Response: Hey there Pisa. Thanks for your review, I really appreciate it. I think you could be onto something - perhaps your idea is an MTT Challenge in the making. Jim and Pam - the European Tour. Each chapter built around a new city. Sounds fab! BAx

BA, I feel like I'm back in London reading this. :)

Author's Response: callisto! I really appreciate you leaving me a review, thank you so much. However, and not that I would wish to deter you from doing so again…but, don’t you have some writing of your own to be getting on with…a brand spanking new chapter of Spectrum maybe? :) Cheers, BAx rn

BA, you are killing me here!  Wake up, Pamela!

OK, some high points of this chapter:

BA, channeling Dwight (voice is PERFECT!):

It may interest you to know that women over thirty are more prone to weight gain than those aged less than thirty. And it’s not just the women. As we age, a decrease in our physical abilities leads to a decrease in our metabolic rate, which in turn contributes to weight gain. Genetics, muscle mass, calorie consumption versus expenditure, and lifestyle are all factors in weight gain and don’t forget that all Pam ever did was sit at the reception desk and now she probably….

I think you’re hot Pam. I mean not baby-making hot – your hips are too narrow for my tastes, but generally you are attractive.

Vodka and beet juice?  That is priceless!

BEST sentence in the chapter:

Later, as he enjoyed the last mouthful of his Eton Mess he considered that it was the way that the soft black material of her dress paid close attention to the curves and slopes of her body that had ensured his downfall.

Fabric "paying close attention" to curves and slopes!  Now that is a great image!

Can you please have one of these two wise up before Jim gets on that damn plane?  PLEASE??

Ooh and I looked up Eton Mess.  My that does look yummy.

Author's Response: Thanks, VB! I’m really pleased that my version of Dwight read okay. I find Michael and Dwight the most difficult characters to write for and I know I’m guilty of using them only as comic relief. I’m in awe of some of the great writers posting here who do such an amazing job with Dunder Mifflin’s funniest duo. Re vodka and beet juice – come on, I had to slip a beet in somewhere…hmmm…let’s ignore the obvious ‘TWSS’, shall we – crap, look what I just did! I digress. Thank you for your kind words about my words. As for Jim and Pam, I can promise you that one of them will wise up soon. I can also promise you that if you whip up an Eton Mess for yourself, you won’t be disappointed. Yummy. BAxrn

*Big sigh*  This makes me happy, BAx.  I really enjoy your writing.  Looking forward to more.

Author's Response: NanReg, thank you so much for your review and I'm glad the end to chapter 5 made you happy. *Big sigh* right back at ya! I'm afraid that the next chapter isn't likely to be ready for a couple of weeks because I'm off on my hols - and although I intend to take my laptop with me, there will be zero chance of picking up a wireless signal. :( Thanks again,BAx
