I don't know why, but it makes perfect sense for House to have these magical powers. I half expected him to fast forward the tape so Pam could plan her next time talking to Jim.

First off, I claim my Quantum Leap bonus points, thank you very much.
Next: I'm loving this. All of it. You have Pam down pat, and House is so very, very House. I love the very "Ghost of Christmas Past" thing you've got going on. However, in four chapters, I think my very favorite line is this: He leaned heavily on his cane, his head bowed for a few moments. That is such a vivid detail, it's exactly what he does. Exactly! Well-observed. Love love love this so far!
