"A stretch of almost-silence while coffee is poured and cereal is slurped."
So I swear I read this as that the coffee was being bored over the cereal and I wanted to know what kind of freaks Jim and Pam were.

They're watching Spongebob! I never got it. Then the kids I work with watched it. And I was subjected to it. Then I started liking it, or at least, not minding when it was on. Then I started making the kids watch it. (in my defense, it is so much better than some of the other crap they wanted me to watch!)
Hey, it still works to make them know I'm one of the good guys. I can talk about Spongebob and Patrick to no end.
Except when i start talking about episode plots, then I scare myself.

I'm obsessed with Jim and Pam babies. They need to get on that. Stat. Stat means now.

Author's Response: Interesting misreading! :) I'm not so big into the baby thing, but the topic definitely comes up so I tried my hand at writing about it. Thanks for reading!

My baby is nine months old now, so this time of preparation is a relatively fresh memory for me. You capture it beautifully, that feeling of being yourself but different, of knowing that something momentous is happening but not grasping it yet, so you talk in abstractions and hope you're making the right choices. I love that I can relate so completely but still recognize that this is Jim and Pam. Nice work.

Author's Response: Thanks so much! I'm really happy that, as a real mom, this was relatable. I was a bit worried. Glad you enjoyed it! :)

This is so delightfully warm and fuzzy, Little Comment.  Just perfect.  And now I know that "The Force" is the ultimate name!  How can anyone argue with that?!  :)

Author's Response: Oh yay, Nan, thanks! I'm glad I got thumbs ups from the moms out there (like you and the fabulous LisaHoo) - I know we should write what we know and all, and being without kids I'm kind of clueless, but Mr. Comment and I have raised dozens of them hypothetically. ;) And as for 'The Force'...um...yeah. We'll just leave that be. ;)

Aww, so freaking adorable.

So true about kids not needing a bunch of that overpriced junk.  Mine were entertained for hours yesterday by an empty egg carton and a bunch of circles cut out of old cereal boxes.  And you should see them bowl with paper cups as pins.  Loving this glimpse into everyday at Casa de Halpert.

Author's Response: Thanks Lisa! Yeah, for real...I'm not a parent, but I just don't get kids' toys anymore. When we have to buy gifts for little ones, rarely do they stray outside the crafty/blocks/books arenas. Seriously, kids can make fun anywhere. Thank you for giving this a read and for such a fun review!

Aww, so adorable!!! Such a perfect mix of humorous and heartwarming, and I love the choice you made to use simple quotations without who said what. It really emphasizes that you can write both characters so distinguishably. (Is that a word? Eh, if it isn't then I've just made it one.) Wonderful job, and snaps for branching out of your comfort zone and writing about kids!! :)

Author's Response: Well thank ya, darlin'! I tried to keep this as streamlined as possible, so I'm happy you thought it worked. (And I think it's a word, so yeah...there you go.) And like I said in another response, these - in my mind - are all discussions pre-pregnancy/kids, but if people want to pretend, that's cool too. Thanks as always, babe! :)

Little Comment, you've done it again. This has actually melted me, all that remains are my hands and they will melt once I've finished writing this (admittedly wierd) review. This is gorgeous and fluffy without being saccharine. Love it, love you, love from me :)

Author's Response: Oh, SS! No! Don't melt - you write the kindest reviews; I can't make it without you! :) Thanks for your sweet review. I tried not to get too corny and sappy, but that last one...eh, whatcha gonna do? ;) All that love back at you! :)

The Force? Ha! Oh, Jim. Nice callback to the first chapter.

I never thought I'd say this, but I'm a total sucker for stories of Jim and Pam and "little ones." And even if I weren't, I'd still think this was cute.

Author's Response: I'm not a big one for kids stories, but I'm a horrible person, so... ;) And it always seems to me guys love ridiculous names for children. Why is that? :) Thanks so much for checking this out!

Super cute! Love the allusion to pregnancy without actually making it about the baby ;)

Author's Response: Thanks! My hubby and I love talking in hypotheticals, so I wanted to extend that to Pim. And while I never intended for her to be pregnant or already have kids during this, it's rather open-ended so people can assume what they'd like. Thank you again!
