I'm really enjoying this and this is a great, great nugget of truth:

If he had learned anything in Scranton, it was the art of repression

Author's Response: Thank you!  Yeah, Jim and Pam both impressed me so much by their ability to avoid the obvious for three seasons.

Ooh. You have me hooked. Like the flashback to explain her text message. Very believable. Like that it has him sleepless in Stamford. Intriguing....

(And in great minds moment - I've had a story idea for ages that departs from those last scenes in Diwali where Pam's driving Michael and Karen's driving Jim home...so, maybe this will inspire me to finally write the damn thing ;-) Anyway...nice sense of tension/anticipation without hitting us over the head with it. Really looking forward to seeing where this goes.

Author's Response: Oooo, I want to read that, Colette!  There is something to be said for playing around with S3 angst.  Thank you for your nice comments!

So, will Pam call Jim immediately?  I'm betting she's awake and hears the beep for the text message!

Love this line:

If he had learned anything in Scranton, it was the art of repression.

Perfectly terse & tense.  And true.

Author's Response: Thank you very much!

First off, LOVE that Citizen Cope song and, sick pup that I am, it has brought to mind melancholy thoughts of Jim and Pam at various JAM-obsessed times.  Anyway, really enjoyed this, MA.  I love the back-story behind Pam's text--very in character.  This silly little thing is my favorite detail:  What say you, Cupid?  I hope you can update again soon.

Author's Response: Thank you very much!  I love that song so much that I bought one of their albums.  I am writing the next part; I will hopefully have it up tonight or tomorrow. :)

Look at you sneaky sneak.  I love this.  So glad to see you are writing again.

More soon please. :)

Author's Response: Yep, just happy to be writing again.   This is a story where I had the first scene and the end point for the longest time, and I'd look at it occasionally but I could never connect those two parts in a way that was believable/acceptable to me.  It's no masterpiece, but I'm kind of happy with it now.  I should update very soon. :)

I am def pulled in by this story. The whole text message thing was always something that really bugged me and I felt like it was never explained so Im really enjoying this! Cant wait for more!

Author's Response: It's bugged me too, which is why I felt I had to write this.  It's taken me a little longer than I wish but oh well... :)  Thanks for your comment!

So I have to confess that I have a soft spot for S3 fic - so much to pull from!  I love this too because I don't think the Diwali near miss has been explored nearly enough!  Can't wait to see how that phone call plays out :)

Author's Response: Thank you so much! :)  I am partial to season 3 fic too because that was the time when things were really not going the way I wanted on the show.  So what better fantasy fulfillment than writing it the way you wish it had played out? :)

Yeah!  I always hated that we never knew what did or didn't happen after she texted him.  Can't wait for the phone call.

Author's Response: I hated that too!  I may take a few liberties with what happened in season 3, but that's what fanfic is for. :)  I promise not to have you wait too long on the call.
