You are doing such a great job of keeping their responses to this situation and to each other in character. I can just see Jim preparing a dinner like this the night before the surgery. Your phrasing is very good throughout. I'm really hoping you have Jim pull through this but I think you'd handle it very well if you choose otherwise, too.

Oh my... wow... I was almost crying at the end - when I read that this was Jim's way of saying goodbye. Then when Jim said that Pete was going to take care of everything, he had Cecelia's box and he wanted Pam to be happy... well, that was just hard to read! I trust that you won't take our Jim away from us - you wouldn't do that, would you? But all in all, amazing detail and I am constantly surprised by the amount of emotion you are able to incorporate into your writing. Wonderful chapter, on to number six!

Oh my god... That was so incredibly Well written. First time a fanfic story puts a knot in my throat and brings me to tears. But I hope that you let Jim make it. I don't know if I can take another chapter like this. Great writing though. You're super talented. You truly know how to paint a picture with words.
