Totally true story: I was in London last month and standing on the Heathrow Underground platform at 12:30 on a Saturday night. A ten hour flight + my own private, personal Jim = giggling like a loon at "Cockfosters" but trying so, so hard not to.

For future reference (though I'm sure you know this) - there is a statuette of Priapus in one of the Greek antiquities rooms at the British Museum. Might come in handy. *snert*

Author's Response: Ha!  I have done it myself many times (giggling like a loon at Cockfosters, that is).  They end up looking at some Greek antiquities, but not that specific one.  You may imagine it as a deleted scene.

"THAT Jim?!" Awesome way to end this great chapter! And "British Museum and frisky chit-chat"? I can't wait! I love Pam's directness. They're both a little older and wiser and experienced now; no need to waste time talking around waht each one wants to say as much as they used to. Is it wrong that I'm secretly hoping for some awkward-then-hot sleeping arrangment situations later?

Author's Response: Thanks, classy!  Yes, awkward-then-hot is pretty much my stock in trade.

Oh, I am thoroughly enjoying this!  So glad to have you back.

I love the little bone you throw poor Jim with that little text message.  Pam is coming across as so together and unaffected by this chance meeting.  I'm glad her friend's text is blowing her cover a bit.

I hope you have LOTS of chapters planned for this, lady!

Author's Response: I have quite a few planned, really, and have written the penultimate one already.  You know the one.  ;)

Bring on the frisky chit-chat! Love the cautious yet hopeful vibe of their reunion in this story. Can't wait for the journey to continue.

Author's Response:

Thank you, jinx!

Really? You stop there? This chapter flew by! If I send you cookies, will you post faster? Please? ;)

Author's Response: Oh, it's a bad habit of mine, Andastainonmyshirt.  Yes, please send cookies!  :)

First, hi Annabel! Long time no read - what a nice surprise.

Really enjoying your (sort of) Before Sunset premise of their re-meeting years later in a totally new context - so much giddy freedom and romantic possibility in being alone together, far away. Love Jim's attempts to conceal his excitement and nervousness, Pam's unexpected directness, how quickly they find their own patois again. Great last line in this chapter too - you're always so good at building that delicious slow burn tension. Frankly, at this point if you said the next stop was the British Museum and Little Friskies, I'd still be psyched to see what happens next.

Author's Response:

Thanks, Colette!  I have a specific idea of what's happened to both of them in the time apart, which makes it kind of fun to write, because in a way they don't know each other as well as it seems.  And Before Sunrise and Sunset are definitely influencing me.  "Baby, you're gonna miss that plane."  So amazing.

I love this! And the last line: Ugh, you killed me in the best possible way! Can't wait for more!

Author's Response: Thank you, BluetimesTwo!

Dude, I live IN Cockfosters LMAO. Everyone laughs at the name except those who live here, we're like, it's normal ;)
Looking forward to whathappens next, especially as he's seen the text.

Author's Response:

Hee!  I've spent a fair bit of time in London, but I will never stop finding Cockfosters funny.  I'll have to make sure to be somewhat accurate, seeing as I have a local(ish) reading!

You know, it's funny... I recently reviewed a story of callisto's and told her what I miss from fic writing is the way she writes with little to no dialog, and I'm not one who is big on mostly conversation stories. Yet, here I am, in love with everything you write! The two of you are a contradiction to each other, but I come running if anything is posted by either one. Maybe that's why Talkative owns my heart; she's what would happen if you and callisto had a fiction writing baby.

The way they converse with each other makes you long for season 2-3. I miss the angst, longing, and so much of what that time represented. I hope you follow this through to completion!

Author's Response: Thank you, Andastainonmyshirt!  I didn't used to write so much dialog, but I now find it kind of addictive. Particularly with these two, where (at least in the first few seasons) all they had was conversation (oh, and long, significant looks). Talkative is a wildly talented so-and-so; I don't wonder you love her work.

This is just so fun, I love it! Please please make them get together in the end, does Jim REALLY want to spend his time playing cello? I didn't think so. He wants to spend time frolicking around Europe with his love, Pam!

On a less, um, nagging note, what a great chapter, I really love your sense of humor. Keep going!

Author's Response: Thank you, pamelamorganhalpert! I don't know, the cello seems oddly fitting.

I love the thought of Jim watching porn *is a bad ad person*

LOL at them annoying people, this is so goo. You are frustrting me in the best possible way :)

Author's Response: Thanks, Hannah!

You weren't kidding, Annabel--this so brings to mind the many reasons why I love Talk and why it remains one of my favorite stories.  Your dialog is always so sharp and sexy.  It's as if days, not years, have passed since they were last together.  Makes me want to be Pam's seatmate on the plane, but I wouldn't complain :D  I'm enjoying this slow ride but, please, feel free to update frequently ;)

Author's Response:

Thank you, NanReg!  I'm trying to update often; the last chapter had me pulling my hair out.

Ok, I'm ready to read all these episodes that never happened.  Right after this one....

Author's Response: Me too, lisahoo!  If only someone would write them for us...

It's so nice to read fic again... and to have you as the writer I'm reading. Half-truths are better than no truths, right? More quickly, please!

Annabel, you are so awesome. THIS is so awesome! I'm feeling pretty awesome right now thanks to you :D You are a master (mistress?) of dialog. I don't need action/suspense when you're behind the wheel of the bus. Not when there's King Melodrama of the Emo People ;) So diggin' this.

Awww I said this before, but Im so happy you're back. I really can't wait to see what you have planned. I'd love for Pam to fall crazily in love with him, how could she not? lol

I liked this a lot! You can tell Pam has matured. It's such an exciting premise for a story all round, and a great time to set it in - they're both at a better stage in their lives, less inhibited and hopefully less insecure.
It was such a pleasure to read. Can we have more please?

Author's Response: Done, monotreme.  I agree, I think older, maturer Jim and Pam are interesting.  Maybe not as angsty, but one can't have everything.

Oh, Annabel! I've been nostalgic too! I watch reruns of seasons 2 and 3 and my throat nearly closes up, I'm so homesick (is homesick the right word?) for that time. Thank you for writing once again -- it's wonderful, as always.

Author's Response: Yes, there's nothing like Seasons 2 and 3 anymore.  Not anywhere on TV that I know of anyway.  You're very welcome!

What a great premise! And how bold of Pam to move to Spain. Can't wait to find out all of the things these two have been up to in this story. Very much looking forward to following this!

Author's Response: Thank you, Deedledee!

At this point, all I have for you is a bouquet of early-blooming tacklehugs. I hope that's enough.

I'll just leave them here.

:: thump ::

Author's Response: Awwww, a pretty posy of tacklehugs for you too, T!  Certain things about this story make it a bit of a sister to Talk, so I hope you like it.

I am so excited for this one! I love that Pam is confident here, that it isn't Jim pulling answers out of her for a change. I also have always thought airplanes and airports have unlimited potential for meet cutes and romantic notions! I don't imagine these two would be part of the mile-high club, but perhaps a romantic evening in Europe together might be in their future? (I hope I hope I hope). "You may not remember her, but she remembers you. Trust me." Loved that.

Author's Response: Thanks, classy!  I'm kind of guessing at how they might have changed and grown with a few years' distance, but I think Pam was ready to find her place in the world, with or without Jim, and so she's spent the last few years learning to be assertive.  And no, I suspect you're right: love in the inevitably disgusting airplane washroom is not in the cards.

I'm a sucker for stories that bring Jim and Pam together.... Love it, love it, love it! Update soon, please??

Author's Response: As soon as I can.  Thanks, Dedeen!
