Loved this. :) On the show, my ideal Jim-coming-home scenario would have been Pam and the kids meeting him at the airport, but since they didn't go that route, your version of their reunion is the perfect substitution. Banter in the beginning, sweet kid stuff in the middle (LOVED little Cece here), and sweet couple stuff at the end. (And I laughed at your note at the end. haha) Thank you for this! It made me smile.

Author's Response: Oh, I completely agree, I would have loved to have seen Pam and the kids meeting him at the airport. I'm loving writing Cece and the family stuff for some reason, I think mainly because we'll never see any of it, it just sort of sparks up in my brain until I write it. I'm so happy to see that you enjoyed this! Thank you! :)

The way you write this family kills me dead. You have no idea how talented you are, and that always makes me smile. I live for your stories :)

Author's Response: Aw, thanks babes! I really love writing this little family. I can't thank you enough for everything you do when it comes to my writing, I really appreciate that so much! :) xx

I was wondering why no smutt at the end there, thanks for answering. I love how CeCe was so, loving I guess as she constantly pestered Jim. I also thought it was cool that we got to see her more of her 'no' phase. You did good with this chapter, showing how Jim quickly fell back into the normal routine. Obviously that takes a devoted father and husband to willingly do that while NOT cheating after being on a three week 'vacation'. Actually the last episode was boring in my opinion, but thats okay we have you to make up for it. :) Speaking of which I wonder if the Kathy plot will go anywhere now that they're back. Its up to the writers I guess. I hope they give it one last breath of air because one, it would make sense and two, it gives you more cake batter to work with lol. Well, hoping tonights episode will better, bye, till next we talk.

Author's Response: Glad you thought that Jim jumping right back into daddy duty was believable, he just seems like the type that would do that no matter how tired he would be from traveling. I have way too much fun writing Cece, it makes me happy to see that you like seeing her! It's tough, some people just don't like this time frame of the show and prefer stories without kids. I haven't been super happy with the last few episodes, so I'm hoping that it gets better when they come back from break. Thanks so much for taking the time to review, I really appreciate it and I'm enjoying chatting with you! :)

Well...uh....how do I put this.....babies in bed.......soft kisses...I love you's....APART FOR 3 WEEKS! I'm laughing because I was sure that the kisses and hugs would "heat up" the bedroom! lol With Mom and Sis probably in the next room -- maybe? -- and two tired parents -- well, I guess Mom and Dad need their sleep. Maybe Mom and Sis went home....babies are aslseep.....GO FOR IT! lol I loved the story -- you really have Cece down -- little 2-years olds are just like that!
You are so talented!

Author's Response: LOL I know, I'm sorry they didn't smut it up in this chapter, but I made up for it with an update, so hopefully that one makes up for it. I just couldn't see Cece hopping in bed with them the next morning if they did that didn't change the sheets. Glad you liked it and thanks so so much for the lovely compliment! :)

I loved it when Pam said "Eh" to Jim's joke/question. Many lols! ^_^ Good connection to the days when Jim and Pam were both unhappy and lost. Thats one of your talents bridging and connecting the gaps. A talent all good FanFiction writers have. Remember the part of this episode when Kathy said it was her idea to be the "hot girl"? Man, she is a piece of work. And she thinks her tricks will eventually work on Jim. Pathetic. Pam chose the right word. Until next chapter, bye :)

Author's Response: Thanks! Yes, I originally was going to write something else there, but then I thought, Pam would joke around with him and be like, "Eh." so I did that. Glad you liked it! Thanks, I'm glad you like that I bridge things together, I always worry that my style will get old and annoying and over done. Yes, I remember that part, she's not hot, and I can't wait for her to just disappear. I almost dislike her more than I disliked Karen. Pam did choose the right word for her. :) Thanks so much, I am so happy that you liked this chapter. :) Til next time

Guh, that was perfection. I can't really say much else, because it'll just be me, gushing about how awesome you are and how much I loved this chapter eep :)

Author's Response: There are no words of thanks to you, my dear. Thank you so so much, I can't even begin to tell you how much you've helped me! I'm happy you liked this one too. :) xx

What a nice, mellow scene between Jim and Pam. I'm glad you have them Skyping -- couples today who are separated can stay connected -- although I wish that Jim would, like Ryan, get on a bus to the airport and go home. (lol) But then he wouldn't get those nice story arcs on the show!

I'm also pleased that he noticed that Pam was a little down but knew to wait for her to talk about it. They are really in a new level of their relationship -- sharing time with the babies -- the focus has shifted -- and their connection has deepened in a new way. You have captured this so well. Hugs!

Author's Response: Yeah, seriously I wish Jim would go back to Scranton too! I'm missing their interactions so much. I think Pam was kind of affected by the kid calling her fat, at least I know I would be a little bit. What I love about Jim is taht he's so connected to Pam, and now he definitely knows how she deals with things. I think that's part of why they didn't get along back in season 3 but are so much closer than they ever were when they started dating or were just friends. I'm so happy that you liked this chapter. It came out really fast, I used my iPhone to write it. It was so crazy lol I"m glad it came out so well. Thanks so much!

My advise to you is definitely watch more old episodes. I'm sorry I have been lapse in reviewing your updates. Each one is a bonus for me and how you seem to cature the true essence of our couple. This one especially was great. Now words were needed for Jim to see something was off with Pam. You give me a long deleted scene with all of your updates of the Jim and Pam that I long to see on screen. Thank you so much!

Author's Response: I love watching old episodes. The one that got me started on this wasn't even Valentine's Day from season 2, it was actually the scene with them on the roof with pizza in Dunder Mifflin Infinity. I don't know why, but they just seemed so at ease with each other and I let my mind wander from there. I actually wrote the entire thing on my iPhone. Crazy right? It happened that fast this time lol Thanks so much for the lovely review, I'm trying to make these a little like deleted scenes, so I'm happy that it's working out that way! :) Thanks!

So I orginally read this on my phone the day it was updated because my internet was down. I didn't review then because I loathe typing on my phone. So here's a proper review (thanks to Verizon for coming to fix my internet a day early!)

"You can count on your hands the times you’ve chatted with her and still have fingers left over to hail a cab." That is my favorite line in the whole chapter becaus it's so true. I blame the writers.

I really liked this update (I know, I'm getting repetetive.) Pam's, "Don't let the bed bugs bite," had me lol'ing and it was so sweet and sentimental the way Jim dreamt about their wedding day. Keep updating, lady!

Author's Response: Aw, thanks! I'm happy you were able to get your internet fixed. Verizon can be such a pain in the you know what. That line you pointed out just sort of fell out of me and I had to leave it in. I absolutely blame the writers. I watch closely and have seen nothing between Jim and Kathy for any of this shenanigans to be going on. Well, not shenanigans, but she wants there to be. Blah I don't like Kathy at all - maybe even more than I disliked Karen. I'm so happy to hear that you enjoyed this chapter! :) Thank you!

I wasn't able to finish reading this yesterday, Danielle, so it's been stuck in my head.  Early this morning, I heard Ray LaMontagne's Forever My Friend, one of my favorite songs.  Are you familiar with it?  Just in case you're not:  http://youtu.be/Yy9GxrtR890.  Anyway, it became the soundtrack for this story and this Florida trip.  Oh how I love sentimental Jim and reliving his wedding day with him.  *sigh*  Lovely.  There's only one woman for him.

Author's Response: I'd never heard that song before until a moment ago, thanks for the link! It is a perfect soundtrack for these two. I can't get enough of them lol I'm happy you liked sentimental Jim. I've been running on a theme lately with this memory stuff, so I was worried it'd get tiring to read. They can't forget their history now just because they're happy. And that deleted scene also made me think that what I had written still fit in with some changes. There really is only one woman for Jim. :) Thanks so much! I'm so happy you liked this one!

I hope you realize just how perfect and amazing this chapter was. Not to mention it was twice as good as I expected, no joke. But I'll get to that later. I wasn't aware of the deleted scene until you mentioned it lol. Thanks for that. And yeah, I'm glad you rewrote it, to show that. Anyway it was going great until you introduced the Niagara dream. Thats when it got perfect. I. Just. Loved. It. Bringing up the wedding day to show just why Jim would never cheat on Pam. Brilliant. It was done so beautifully with the swift transitions. So many compliments. Well done as always. Can't wait for 8.17...

Btw your probably in the top ten fan fiction writers I've every seen. And thats saying something because I've seen several hundred.

Author's Response: Thank you so so so so so much! Yes, exactly - that's exactly why this idea for him to dream about Niagara came from. Initially it was going to be the dream and a phone call to Pam where he can't decide if he wants to tell her about Kathy, but that deleted scene changed everything, and the idea still worked - to show why Jim would never cheat on or think of cheating on Pam. That compliment is by far the nicest thing ever, I can't tell you how completely touched and honored that you think I'm in the top ten of writers of fan fic. That's huge! There's so many of us around these parts. That really means a lot. Thank you so much!

God, reading that after the deleted scene has made me so ridiculously happy. Everything you write is so perfectly in character and a pleasure to read 100000 times over :)

Author's Response: Thanks so much dearie! You have no idea how much your help really helps me! Being perfectly in character is so important to me, so it really means a lot to hear that I'm on it ;) Thanks! :)

Author's Response: Thanks! I never did have Niagara fic, and thought it'd be fun to incorporate it here. I'm really happy to see that you liked it! :) Hope to hear from you again for future chapters.

Glad to see the 'Kathy' stories starting to show up. I like how you handles Jim in that awkward situation. And weren't you happy to see that deleted scene posted? Great job with the continuing story... glad to see you're able to keep it all going.

Author's Response: Thanks so much! I really am happy about that deleted scene, especially Jim's smile at the end of it. It speaks volumes of how much he loves his wife. I'm happy to see that you're enjoying these! I can't believe the season is almost over. Hope you'll let me know your thoughts on future chapters. :)

I was SO excited to see that you felt inspired to continue. Sorry this is a little late. I loved this update. Poor Cece missing her daddy. Her interaction with him was so sweet-- asking him if he wants a carrot, freaking out when he briefly walked away to get his food, and then (my favorite) mimicking his actions while listening to him talk. So adorable. As was this:
The instant Philip grabbed a hold of her finger Pam smiled and felt her shoulders relax. “Dogs don’t do this,” she cooed as she kissed the top of the baby’s head. ... So much cute.
And then the part at the end with just Pam and Jim together.. guh. Lovely. :)

Author's Response: Thanks so much for this and for the rec on the MB! I don't know why but I can't get the idea out of my head that Cece misses her daddy so much and she gets cranky about it. I just think that Jim really focuses his non working time as being a great dad to his kids. I'm so happy that you liked this, and I loved that line too! I'm really hoping that they show some kind of reunion on the show, but I do have something special planned for the evening of his return. Thanks! :)

I'm delighted every time you update this, Danielle. You seem to have a bottomless reservoir of ideas. While I look forward to their sweet reunion, I'm enjoying the separation, due in large part to you :)

Author's Response: Thanks Nan! I'm hoping my reservoir stays filled this time! I'm really looking forward to their reunion, I have to say it's making me a little anxious wondering if they'll show their reunion or not. I do enjoy making up their conversations while they're apart though, and I have big plans for the night Jim comes back from Florida, so stay tuned! Thank you :)

Aww, Danielle, so cute. I am so glad you decided to keep these going. I can't wait to see what you have planned for post- "After Hours!"

Author's Response: Thanks lady! I'm glad I came back to them too with some nudging, thanks for that. :) I'm hoping you'll like what I did for After Hours. I had to do a re write of it after that deleted scene, which now I'm thinking I should point people to in my end note. Anyway, thanks, I'm so happy you liked this one and hope you enjoy the update too! Thank you :)

Super cute. Loved the entire Skype session. Also really enjoyed the short phone conversation, haha. I just love how Pam held Jim's pillow like a Teddy Bear. I hope to see 8.16 up here asap. I mean you basically promised it, so... (BTW, little request if its not to late, make it from Jim's point of view please and don't be afraid to have his character a little on edge because of Cathy ;), oh and keep in mind its the end of week one)

Author's Response: Thanks for the tips! I didn't realize that it was only one week, but now that I've seen the layout of the rest of the episodes, it makes sense, two episodes per week. Yep, the update I just posted is from Jim's POV. After the deleted scene was up yesterday, I had to re write most of what I'd done to include it, so Jim's not totally on edge like I had made it originally. Hope you like that one too, and I'm so happy that you liked this one! I had fun writing their conversation on Skype and their phone call, and I'm happy that you liked reading it. Thanks so much for being so kind and supportive! It truly means so much to me! :)

So... Jim isn't a fan of Linsanity? I will have to agree with him, I too tire of endless amounts of him on ESPN as well.

Can I please tell you again how happy I am that you have continued to post here? I mean, I love the little things you add to all the episodes and seriously cannot wait to see how you handle Jim's situation with his unwanted guest from last nights episode!

Author's Response: Hah, yeah I think Jim would be annoyed by all of the Linsanity. That idea struck me when my coworker left on ESPN all day in the office for a week and I was like, okay... that's enough about this guy. I thought it'd be a funny thing to have Jim say lol Thank you so much for the continued support, it really means so much to me, and I'm so happy that you've come back and are enjoying these. I hope you like the update, and I hope you watched the deleted scene from last week's episode too. Thanks so much! :)

Seriously, how do you manage to outdo yourself each and every week. This was so cute. I love the idea of Jim joining them for dinner via skype, and Cece being such a daddy's girl aw :)Also, I love the detail you put inand the continuity within each chapter, like Pam questioning what he ordered for dinner lol. SERIOUSLY LOVE IT

Author's Response: I couldn't get the video chatting idea out of my head, so I went with it and figured Cece must miss her daddy a lot since in my head they're buddies, and I'm thrilled that you liked it so much! I'm hoping that they mention the blood pressure thing again at some point so these don't look too off as I continue, but I think I'll try to find something else for the next update. Thank you so much for all of the support, I really appreciate it, more than you know! :)

Well now, isn't this an entirely different sort of angst?  I'm sorry for the delay in reviewing, Danielle, but I wanted to be able to read this again and give it my full attention (unlike the first time I read it over the weekend).

There’s no reason for these old, dusty feelings to surface, but they choke her like a cloud of smoke.

I could just feel the ache, the loneliness, the melancholy as I read this.  I have no worries that anything would ever come between these two.  Their bond is so strong.  Despite the miles that separate them, their phone call was was so intimate, as if they were in the same room.

Well done, lady.

Author's Response: Aw, thanks Nan. Never worry about the delay in reviewing, I'm just happy that you had the time to eventually do so! I think as much as Pam was willing to let him go to Florida, that she misses him a lot, more than they're willing to give us on the actual show. I'm so happy you thought it was true to her character. I think at this point, missing him is sort of angsty, and I love their relationship so much that you can just tell that they're still connected even though he's so far away. thank you for always taking the time to leave such lovely thoughts about my writing. It really makes me smile. Thank you :)

Wow, this was just perfection! I haven't been watching this season, so I didn't read this story yet. I finally watched a few & am reading your accompanying pieces. I just loved everything about this chapter. You really capture their characters well!

Author's Response: Thanks so much VB! I'm hoping you're catching up with this season, minus the rough middle patch, these past few episodes have been some of the best ones and have renewed my faith in the show. I'm so happy to hear that you thought I capture the characters well, it's something that took a lot of time to get into and I think I finally found it. Thanks so much!
