Oh my gosh. I just spent somewhere around an hour and a half reading this, and it was totally worth it. I’m not going to lie... when I first read the summary, I thought this was going to be cheesy and out of character, but I am so glad that I was wrong. First of all, the premise of this story is fantastic! I mean, Jim and Pam as CIA agents?! It’s such a creative, out of the box idea, yet each character you included fits perfectly into their role! I love Jim and Pam’s connection, Jim and Dwight’s coallition, and even the role that you put Karen in, which suits her personality extremely well while still wedging her in that infuriating spot between Jim and Pam. Every chapter has a new, creative twist or a perfect line that makes me fall in love with this story all over again! You did an excellent job balancing inner monologue and angst with action, plot, and dialogue. All of your characters interactions are spot on! I love the idea of the alternative personalities of all the agents (Especially Andy! What a creative explanation for his obnoxious personality!). This is where I would normally insert one of my favorite lines from your story, but I really can’t choose even a few; they’re all so clever! I also admire your consistent updating schedule and use of the thirty one day challenge! To sum up this gigantic paragraph I have now concocted: I really really really love this story, and I am very excited to read more!

I love writing AUs precisely because of the challenge of keeping the characters in character while the world around them shifts, so thank you very much for the compliments. I play this cute little battle app with my son and I had a little chuckle imagining all the defenses from that game hidden within the walls of DM.
How did you come up with that vending machine idea? So cool!
It’s nice to see that this Karen isn’t all ice. I enjoyed her reflections and realizations. Especially the realization of how well Jim and Pam work together (and separately) without even being able to properly communicate.
I can’t wait to find out who that voice is. I’ve had two other people in mind since I mentioned Angela.

I'm glad you get the same mental image of how this CIA base fits into DM as I do.
I was just trying to think of what Jim and Pam do most often in the break room that might reveal a secret CIA ops center. I think it was influenced by the Disney cartoon Gravity Falls, where the vending machine is a door to a secret lab.
Yeah, Karen is trying. She's self-interested, but not a total ass.
And you'll find out soon! Today's installment has a gender reveal.

No angry slamming computers here... well except over the fact that I want MORE, much much more and I want it yesterday. I should appologize that this is my first review. You're an amazing writer and I've followed this from day 1 since I read everything that's posted here, I'm just not up to always reviewing. Thing is, I admire not just the quality of your writing but your dedication to the story and to us the readers in giving us updates that we can count on. That means so much to me because it's tough when updates are spaced so far that you need to reread the entire story to really get it all. I normally go to the chapter before the new one just to refresh where we were, then read on. Something I totally admire in your writing is just how involved you keep me in the story. Sometimes I want to reach in and grab Karen by the neck and tell her to stop trying to manipulate her work cover into a real relationship and scream at her, HE BELONGS TO AND WITH PAM! Other times there's the suspense of like Gardner's murder or Pam finding out she was compromised or this latest chapter where litterally my heart is eating thinking Jim you gotta find her. Be her hero and find her Jim... oh and yeah, wanting to smack Karen...AGAIN! I NEED to know that Pam is ok. I also want Karen (and Jim but mostly Karen because she's so freaking arrogant) to find out that they, them being recorded while finding all that stuff but neglecting to see they were being cptured on film, are the reason Pam is in the situation she is in and I would imagine the entire oporation, after all this time, is compromised and HAS to be in jeapardy! UGH! Like I said... more more more! Really, this is amazing and to keep us so engaged in the story is just fantastic! I have to say, you are one of the rare writeers that seems to really think outside the box. You come up with premises that seem far fetched and seem theres no way they can work, yet you make them work. Believably! Absolutely incredible. I don't want this one to end... maybe not ever and being honest, would LOVE to see it expand past your 31 chapter goal. But I'm also very anxious and excited to see where your mind will go next! Can't wait til tomorrow!

No, I think this Karen is perfect for this story and compares nicely to canon Karen.
The main difference for me is that I pretty much despise this one immediately due to her sneaky, manipulative, and generally bitchy ways.
Canon Karen I can give a pass up until traveling salesmen/the return when she allowed herself to be a rebound and her clingy, manipulative tendencies started to come through.

Yeah, I think Pam's having difficulty adjusting from being half of a team, to being solo (for the 3 months Jim was in Langley) to suddenly being "in charge." She'll figure it out though ;)
