The very quick transitions between passionate and playful and heated in their makeout session/morning banter is just really on point and in character. That's what they're like with the cameras off, no question.
And I just caught that this is filling the tragic gap left by the lack of Season 4 Christmas episode. I'm pleased.

It's a ton of fun to add in the romance with the banter. It's what makes S4 and onwards or fix-it fics so much fun. Glad you liked it. And yes we were cheated out of S4 Christmas.

Author's Response: Writers strike, doc crew strike, potato-potahato. Why come up with something really over the top when there's an easy out that serves the purpose just fine as to why their first Christmas wasn't filmed.
