Ugh, the dinner with parents, especially curious ones, might be awkward and full of embarrassment (and I think Pam gained some of that), but it was a lovely chapter. The moment I like the most — Pam's considerations about Jim and her summer activities :)

Author's Response: Well, at least Will wasn't there to give the "What are your intentions with my daughter" speech. Instead we just got a wily Helene poking her nose in everyone's business. I'm glad you liked it, thanks for taking the time to drop a review!

Short and sweet but this also moves the plot along too. Gives both of them some clarity as to how their relationship is progressing. Fun to read too.

Author's Response: Thank you for your kind and encouraging words! Now that I have this out of the way the next one shouldn't be too far behind.

This was a super sweet scene. My only complaint was that it was over far too quickly. That said, I like that you kept it simple. I don’t think there needs to be all that much drama. This felt like them, easy and natural once they finally figure things out. Helene and Jim’s dynamic was just lovely. Pam’s spit take was probably the highlight for me.

Author's Response:

Sorry it wasn't longer, but I'm glad you enjoyed it regardless. Pam's spit-take was a highlight for me too, I just had the mental image in my head and I couldn't let it go, so I contrived a way for it to happen.

Thanks for reviewing! I always loving hearing from you.

It's good! I'm very much a supporter of getting things done to break writers block, and this was both lovely and self-contained so it didn't require more.

Author's Response: Thank you for the kind review! I was just sitting there going "But I want to be over here..." planning out plot points. Wouldn't say it was a full on block, but it could have used more fibre.
