A version of Halloween where we acknowledge that Pam is doing for Jim what Jim always does for Pam? Yes please.

Author's Response:

I'm glad you liked that part, I felt like that was what Pam was trying to do in canon, but here I'm allowed to make her say whatever I imagine to be on her mind.

Thanks for dropping by to review!

'Ah yes, my ultimate fetish... a healthy, stable relationship.'
I love that openness and sincerely in Pam and Jim's communications so much that I can't even form a coherent review, so I'll just quote my favorite line and read this chapter once more. Or twice.
Thank you!

Author's Response: You're welcome, but thank you! It's really humbling to hear that you want to re-read this chapter, that means a lot to me. I'm really glad this tickled your fancy. Thanks for taking the time to review!

You really added some depth to Halloween with the backstory here. Pam seeing Roy with Katy and pondering if she had been holding him back in some way and then her transferring that fear to Jim. An inspired way to take the source material and twist it a little to make it all still make a whole lot of sense. A very realistic, but also kind of nice first “fight”.

Author's Response: I drew heavily from the season nine (*shudders*) episode about Roy's wedding for that bit, I felt like it could fit here and I'm glad you liked the spin. Thanks for reviewing!

That's a good smooshing up of the elements of those episodes. Glad you kept the tension but changed it around so it's between a couple in a good relationship and not a will-they/won't-they.

Author's Response: Glad you liked the smoosh and the redirected tension! Thanks leaving a review!

No worries about time jumps for me. Most of us are already very familiar with the basic plot lines. Your plot, is the more important thing to my mind.

Jim and Pam are acting very cute here. I really like that Pam pulled Jim aside to see what was wrong with him. She's got a lot more confidence to have those kinds of conversations and it's great to see. Also good on Jim for being open to talking about things as well. Makes for a great change from the whole not talking about their feelings.

Author's Response:

Glad that wasn't jarring, I just wanted to be sure that there was some semblance of a smooth transition. I'm glad you liked Jim and Pam taking these issues by the horns, as a fixit it is my pleasure to take all of those "Just talk to them!" moments in the show and spin them myself.

Thanks for reviewing!
