Absolutly loved this. I'm a huge sucker for Pam finds her courage early type stories and this fits the bill. I really like that Pam has the insight and courage to admit her true feelings. Likewise she also understands that to jump from one relationship to another probably isn't the best idea. She needs some time to decompress and figure things out.
Good on Jim for being the gentleman. Just all around a lovely chapter. I for one would love to see where this goes.

Yeah Pam, if Roy has cheated on you before tonight why are you still with him? Well of course real life is never that easy and relationships are complicated. Though now with the knowledge that Jim loves her, I love that it gives her the imputus to see her relationship with Roy for what it is. Two people just going through the motions with no feeling behind it anymore. That Roy acts with anger, denial, and ignorance seems typical for him. Things aren't going his way so rather than try to fix it, he runs away.
The image of Pam, still in her dress but with a coat on, showing up at Jim's door was nicely portrayed. I love that she goes back to Jim. Great to see her find her courage this early. Granted there's also some desperation there too, but still. Can't wait to see where it goes from here.

I feel like you really captured Pam's thought process well here, especially with the ring weighing her down. I know I said it back over on ffnet, but I like that you chose not to have them speak, I feel like it really serves your narrative well.

Yes more! Yes to Pam telling Jim how she feels! Yes to no season of angst! Yes to all of that. It's been done a lot, but don't let that stop you. It's always fun to see how someone could view that situation.
This was a phenomenal look into Pam's mindset during all of this. The phone call with her Mom reinforcing all the thoughts she's having about Jim fit in so neatly. And of course her reaction to his kiss was excellent.
I would very much love to see where this goes because it feels like it has so much potential. Great job.
