Very fun concept here. Especially with Jim at DM first. You can really feel that DM is starting to weigh him down, thus the trips to Poor Richards.
Love that there seems to be an instant connection with Pam. And of course Jim to the rescue is always great. The fact that Pam gets on board with what he's doing and jumps right in with spelling on his back was so wonderfully delightful. I was about to say something about Jim should realize Pam telling Roy she had a boyfriend was just a ruse, but I kinda doubt Jim's ever had that line used on him. So there you go.
Not quite getting the timing right here in the first chapter that's for sure. As I've already read the next chapter I'll save those comments for the review of that one.
Great way to get us into this story here though.

This is cute!
I like the look into what Jim's life would be like if he hadn't fallen for Pam. Seems very in character that it's also fairly stagnant and unexciting. She really is the best part of what he has going for him.
You did well finding their instant connection here - how they're able to find ways to communicate as total strangers. If not quite well enough to avoid missing each other in the dark.
*Sigh* They were so close. Could've all been so easy. WAIT THERE'S ANOTHER CHAPTER.

Oh aly. This was so delightfully sweet and funny and adorable. "Birthday?" "Hers or mine?" LMAO! I loved the whole thing of Pam tracing answers on his back. I feel like that would have been such a great thing in the show to make them touch without being *too* close. I'm sad they have to be apart now though. I wonder where Pam's job is? ;)
