She's just been dying to ask.
Pam's mom makes him smile.

Pam never knew.
The medals Ryan garbaged;
Jim fished them all out.

Who knew that grilled cheese
and lawn chairs and cancelled plans
could say so much?

Sitting on Jim's bed,
she almost kicked off her shoes.
It felt so like home.

Laughter filled moments.
Oh Steve, vending machine guy,
how do we thank you?

Fabric Softener?
Yankee Swap? Olympics? Jinx?
When did this love start?

A severe headache.
The memory of "I can't"
is too much right now.

New view. New woman.
Stamford's better than Scranton.
He snorts. So they say.

Cellphone ceiling cache.
It's like they've done this before.
They share an old smile.

Enough is enough.
Pam knows it, now she'll say it.
Strange courage from coals.

Foil lids and Sharpee letters
