Author's Chapter Notes:
This is sort of a dull chapter, but I want to update it as frequently as possible-I swear the next chapter will be more exciting.

Jim and Pam walked into the Applebee’s and waited to be seated.

“I wonder if Michael hates Applebee’s. I mean it’s a lot like Chili’s and that’s his favorite place…” Pam started saying as an employee came up to seat them.

“Welcome to Applebee’s, how many? Two?” the woman asked, but almost only to Jim. Pam decided to answer.

“Yup, just us two,” Pam looked at the woman’s name tag. Her name was Kate. “Kate, can you try to keep us as far away from anybody else? That’d be great” Pam replied, amused by herself.

“Sure…um, follow me.” Kate said. As Kate was showing Jim and Pam to their seat, Jim looked at Pam giving her a confused look.

“Here you two are. I’ll be right out to take your drink orders.” Kate said.

Once Kate left Jim asked, “What was that about?”

“She was staring right at you Jim. I had to get her to snap out of it!" Pam giggled. Jim laughed. He loved the way her mind worked. They both could always think of the best pranks.

“That was actually a very good one,” Jim looked over to see Kate walking towards Pam and Jim’s table, “Speaking of the devil…” He muttered looking to Pam and turning away to look out the window.

“Hi, I’m going to be your waitress tonight. Can I start you two off with a round of drinks?” Kate asked while setting the menus down in front of Jim and Pam. Kate looked at Jim, who was staring out the window avoiding her stare.

“We’ll both have a margarita,” Pam said looking at Jim who nodded trying to ignore Kate the best he could.

“Sure, coming right up.” Kate said finally looking at Pam and turning away.

Pam and Jim laughed together.

“What do you want to eat?” Jim asked.

“Hm…I think I’m just going to have a Caesar salad and a side of fries,” Pam said skimming the menu. “What about you?”

“Cheeseburger.” Jim shut the menu and looked at Pam as she was busy making up her mind.

“No, I’ll have the stir-no I think a grilled cheese sandwich and a side of fries,” Pam looked up at Jim who was gazing into her hazel eyes. “What?” Pam asked nervously.

Jim smiled a crooked smile. “Nothing.”
