Annabel, I haven’t written an epic review in so very long, but my extreme happiness at your quick update has freed the genie from the bottle (whether you like it or not) ;)  Let me first point out that, at a work-related luncheon, I happened to check my e-mail and saw your update post in the forum and couldn't get back to the office fast enough.  I'm looking like a stellar employee at the moment, typing away furiously.

You weren't kidding, Annabel--this so brings to mind the many reasons why I love Talk and why it remains one of my favorite stories.  Your dialog is always so sharp and sexy.  It's as if days, not years, have passed since they were last together.  Makes me want to be Pam's seatmate on the plane, but I wouldn't complain :D  I'm enjoying this slow ride but, please, feel free to update frequently ;)

 Shorter chapter, yes, but any less delectable?  Um, NO, definitely not.  In fact, I think it's my favorite so far, with all the kissing and the banter and yet more antiquities.  Jim's thoughts are so tortured and so...mmmm....  Dying for more.  Dying, I tell you.  The world may not have ended as predicted this evening, but I'm having my own kind of rapture up in here ;)  

I just read this from start to finish, Annabel, and I'm so anxious. ::nibbles nails:: All these mentions of Karen make me queasy wondering what's going to happen next. One minute I think, "Oh, that's good!" and just as quickly think, "Eeeeee, not good, not good!" I have concluded that I'm going to try to stop overthinking and am placing my tender and delicate heart in your hands...

Very nice send-off for Michael, DoofusPrime!  The toothbrush was a very sweet detail.  As when he was on the phone with Holly, I can certainly picture Michael freaking out after his flight.  It's a big step after all!  Jim and Pam were the perfect reassuring, calming parents :)

Author's Response: Yeah, this was sort of my farewell to Michael, I suppose. I will keep watching the show and give it a chance, but without Michael, I can't pretend I'm not worried - it's kind of hard to imagine the show without him, so I wanted to write a story about his leaving. I'm happy you enjoyed it. :)

Thanks for another love-filled chap, Danielle.  He wouldn’t get the pitying look from cashiers when he took his unemployment debit card from his wallet and handed it to them with a fistful of coupons. It wouldn’t matter if they left a light on more than necessary, it wouldn’t matter if they lowered the air conditioning thermostat a bit more. It would be okay if they bought regular Cheerios instead of generic and tasteless Toasty O’s.  Oh my goodness, this is heartbreaking.  It makes me feel badly for every complaining about anything!  Gotta say, even though it worries me for Jim to turn down the job, I'm so glad he's going to.  He seems like the type of guy who thrives when surrounded by family.  I can't see him being happy to be away that much.

I agree, I can't see Jim being happy to be away from his family, but I did want to show that he at least had a struggle with the decision about being able to afford things vs. waiting it out a little longer. You know I join in on that plea, too!  I'm psyched to see what happens with Vance.  I love seeing Jim and Pam as a team, Pam being Jim's strength despite her problems.  I also love that their parents get to witness their love.  It makes me smile :)
