I think you are making Karen into a villian, and it's turning me off the story. I'm not a big fan of Karen myself, but I hate when people portray her as this horrible bitch in fanfic. I mean is she suppose to be happy that her boyfriend is obsessed with some woman? I think if Alison should hate someone it should be Jim for being such a bitch when it comes to what Karen wants in this story.

Also, Patrick is a little too good to be true. And it was kind of weird because in the first chapter you had pam saying she had no friends and then all of sudden there's this Patrick guy.

Author's Response: I really don't think Karen is a bitch in general but she definitely has a mean streak which comes out in The Job. However, if I were to be truely honest, I would react in a similar way that Karen has been acting even if it is rude.
I'm sorry it's "turning you off".
Thank you for sharing your perspective.

Summary:

Ok, all us Jammers are happy about "The Job", and we know that in truth, it was good for Pam to "Grow a pair" (in Michael's terms) and have some time to figure stuff out on her own. But what if we just sped things up a bit? What if she gained that boldness sonner rather than later?

Spoilers through Casino Night, and (soon... when I finish...) through all of Season 3, including The Job!!! intrigued? Good. Come back soon to see the completion...

Lame. Why couldn't Roy just be the normal guy he is. He was never anything horrible on the show. He was just the wrong guy for Pam and maybe an idiot. But you're making him out to be a complete asshole and it's kind of unbelieveable. You're just using this caricature of Roy to prop up Jim/Pam.

Author's Response: Umm... F-A-N-F-I-C... key word FICTION.  Doesn't have to be realistic.  It's called making things more dramatic for effect.  Get over it.

Summary:

This is somewhat of a departure from my last few fluffy stories. This one will be kind of dark, so be warned.

Post- The Job. Jim and Pam's new relationship is tested.

Update - finished! Sorry it took so long.

Jim is being pretty selfish. Is he just gonna rip the little girl away from the only family she's ever known? Who cares if he's her father that doesn't mean anything really since he hasn't been in her life the past however many years. Even though that's not his fault.

Summary:

I decided to write a sequel to Charcoal & Watercolors !!!!

The story picks up right about where Charcoal & Watercolors left off -- Jim and Pam's wedding. Then goes from there into their future. Jim still works at the advertising company and Pam works (exclusively) at a publishing company where she is an illustrator of children's stories.

I added a few more characters ;) and am planning on keeping almost all of the characters from the previous story.

Enjoy!!

Yes a sequel! I've been missing Charcoals and Watercolours since it ended. I loved that story and I already love this one. I can't wait to read more. I hope all the characters are still in this one.

Author's Response: I've been missing C&W since it ended too (wait, did I already mention that in the Story Notes??). All of the main characters should still be in the story. They might not have quite as big a role as they had in C&W, but they'll still be there. I'll probably also compensate with a couple of new characters from the show that weren't in the last one. :)

Summary: Pam gets some help with her problems with Jim, from herself. From before "Beach Games" through their 1st Date.

This story is freaking awesome!

I just discovered it and I love it so much. But I gotta say my favourite character in the story is Devil, lol. She cracks me up.

Author's Response: I'm glad that you like Devil, she is definitely the most fun character in the story. She pretty much gets the majority of the jokes, and gets to say dirty/bad things. Which, by the way, will continue during their date, despite the fact that Pam got mad at her for the sex discussion. And, I'm glad you liked the story, thank you for the review RoccoBidelli.
