Oh geez Abigail.  I'm not really sure.   I like the quietness of the way this has ended - and second person is realllllllly hard for me to write. 

That said.  I can promise another story sometime soon.  I'll give you a bit of a spoiler - I'm looking to rework The Convention next.

So if you can be patient - maybe that'll make up for this oneshot. :)

OMG, This is so awesome.  I love the "good cop, bad cop" thing you've got going on with Jon and Josh.  They also remind me of the "angel and devil" sitting on Jim's shoulder giving him advice.  I hope Jim listens to Josh..something tells me he will..unless Pam spills the beans first!  Update soon, please!!

Okay, so you just made my night (which is quite the feat, given the fact that my husband surprised me with a "Scrantonicity" tee-shirt, complete with silouette of Kev playing drums - hee).  Seriously, though -- I love it that you used the metaphor of "good cop bad cop" because that's exactly what I was going for -- tangible representations of what surely must've been the two sides of Jim's consciousness (hope and wariness). 

Even though I included the line about Jim wondering where he falls -- philosophically -- between Jon and Josh, what I ultimately believe is that he's really neither.  Rather than being ruled by pragmatism (Jon) or optimisim (Josh), I think Jim would likely just go with his gut, follow his instincts without regard to the consequences -- as he did on Casino Night.

But then, I'm obsessed with that night/scene (as verified by my beta, even -- hee!), so maybe my perspective is a bit skewed....

I'm ready to take my "slap" back now.  Pam finally grew a pair.  Pleeeeeease don't keep us waiting too long for the next chapter!

Awwww, this was just too sweet and I loved the surprise ending with baby Halpert.  You wrote them great too..spot on. This story made me smile!

Awww!  This is the sweetest thing I've written, actually.  As to the ending, I was really happy when I came up with Jim wanting to redo something more recent having to do with a baby.  It's fun when stuff like that comes to you, plus it gave me an ending, which I otherwise didn't have. ;)

I find Jim and Pam a bit difficult to write when they're having an actual discussion.  Little quips to Michael are fairly easy, but a discussion is much tougher for me.  I did my best, though, and I'm glad you think it worked.

Hopefully we'll get some more S4 episodes to really put a smile on your face!  Thanks for reading and reviewing, Abigail! 

And just an aside, since no one has asked, I named the baby Laura after the elusive Larissa Halpert... ;) 

First, let me say how much I am enjoying this story.  You artfully lulled us into a false sense of security with the beautiful and sensual first chapter only to rip the rug out from under us with the fugly lime green panties at the end! I love it!

This chapter was angsty, but necessary.  Jim and Pam definitely need to have THAT conversation.  You set up the scene perfectly!

Regarding Karen and her undies, I just love that you included this paragraph because something about Phyllis helping Karen pick out that fugly ensemble always bugged me.  I always felt like Phyllis was rooting for Jim and Pam and that scene felt like a betrayal:

"Phyllis had been the one person who always seemed to know there was something beneath the surface between Pam and Jim, and Pam felt betrayed that Phyllis was now encouraging Karen. Encouraging her to be sexy for Jim. Pam’s Jim."

This last batch was awesome. The "Best/Worst First Date" conversation was spot on! You pegged Jim perfectly..using humor as a way to cover his insecurity and disappointment and I'll just bet that was when Pam first realized she had gotten herself into something she couldn't face. This is where the denial started. Bravo!

There's always a Fifth thing!  There has to be a fifth thing he DOES give her.  Oh, I hope this story is not complete.  I want the fifth thing! *pouts and stamps feet*

This made me laugh out loud (and also made me feel a little better about Jim's "prank" on Pam last night.)

I'm most definitely gruntled!  Filling in the gaps the way you did for BG, TJ and JF was so cathartic.  This is one of the best post-GT proposal stories yet!  The writers didn't give the people what they want, but you sure did!  Thanks for writing it!

Yay for leaving you gruntled!  :o) It's weird because I started this after JF, and as I was watching the finale, I knew I definitely wanted to explore what might've happened after the party.  But I hadn't intended on the flashbacks; they just sort of happened as I was writing.  So I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed them!
