Okay, this is post Stamford (sort of) and is a little AU, given that we now know Jim and Pam have talked a little. It's a bit angsty, but I swear, I was absolutely seized by the urge to write this! It's based a little on some of the comments I read on Live Journal yesterday re: Jim as "a man with needs." Heh. That makes this sound as if it's going to be a pile of smut, and it's not. It'll just be a slightly different Jim - totally drunk!Jim.
Jonathan makes an appearance as well.
And for those of you who are concerned - remember, my fics always end with a happy Jim/Pam. :o) This one probably won't be as long as the others have been; I'm thinking it'll maybe be a two-parter.

It has made me quite sad and quiet though, I must admit. I just had to take a break and go down to play jazzy christmas songs on piano to cheer me up. :P But take it as a compliment! You're writing is so powerful and I really feel like I've connected with Pam, and can feel what she and Jim are feeling. It's really great, and though it is very sad and dark, it's touching. The bond between Jim and Pam... really nice that he can help her as a friend. His reaction was brilliant, and I loved the bit with Jim and her mum. Really great stuff! :D
Oh, and I do find it very funny at the beggining of each chapter you're apologising about your late updates. :P As I've just read them all in one go, I got to see the contrast between the "I will update regularly and soon! I promise!" note at the end of chapter 6, then "I'm so so sorry..." at the beginning of chapter 7. Lol!

Michael watched Pam through the blinds. She was so lucky, everyone always wanted to talk to her, hang out with her, be friends with her. Sometimes he wished he could be her. It would all be so easy if he was Pam.
Pam looked up to see Michael staring at her through the blinds. She smiled to herself before turning back to answering the phones. Sometimes she wondered what it was like to be Michael. It must be strange.
There's a rule of the universe. Never wonder the same thing at the same time as someone else. That's a karmic jinx.
10 Words can't describe how great this is! I've read deep, emotion-filled, sad and happy fics... but this one beats them all! It is just so funny, you've done it so well! All the characters - brilliant! Michael - totally taking advantage of what's going on and hasn't actually thought about it all sensibly. Pam - trying to figure it all out and sort it all out, get back into her body, FIND her body. Jim - worried, not listening or following Michael's(Pam's) orders. Dwight - sucking up majorly.
I love it! It's brilliant, and I cannot wait until the next chapter. :)
