Stablergirl, I must tell you that I kinda like this to. In fact, I kinda love it. This is so fantastic! As usual, your writing is beautiful and intricate, and I especially love the complexity of this story. The parallels and annomalies you're drawing from the actual show are very funny and lovely - like Ryan's hero worship of Jim, Toby's leather jacket-wearing always-on-his-phone character, Kelly...being Kelly, Pam and Jim's outward hostility towards eachother. I adore they way you're writing "the real" Pam in this - she's funny, warm, sassy, and definately has a backbone. I love her line about wanting a man who isn't "handsome". And Jim. The womanising, drinking, smoking, angst-filled, snarky, charasmatic, desperately wanting, self depricating version of "the real" Jim is (for want of a more eloquent word) hot. Incredibly hot. The tension between Pam and Jim is palpable, and wonderfully engrossing. I really enjoyed reading Jim's POV this chapter and I can't wait for more of this story!
You finally understand what it was like for her while you were in Stamford.

Date: May 31, 2008 Title: Chapter 1: If I could open my arms and span the length of the isle of Manhattan
Oh, goodness. That was beautiful. I think my heart melted a bit. What a lovely piece! Honestly, I think I'm a little bit speachless. That was an incrediby gorgeous story. I'm trying to think of particular lines or moments that stood out for me, but it was all really perfect. The proposal, and Jim's thoughts leading up to it were just...perfect. I think that this story is one of the best proposal fics out there. It was warm, and the epitome of romance, and wonderfully in character, and... I really can't think of enough good words for it. You have written a beautiful story that will definately be one of my favourites for a long time.
Author's Response: Speechless is good. I\'ll take speechless. I\'m a little speechless after your review. I\'m glad you liked it!

Oh, and just to let you know, it seems the lines "You would walk across the ocean for her. You can’t help but wonder if she knows that, if she knows the lengths that you will go to for her." has really stuck with me. I'm just in raptures about this story. Again, well done on creating such a lovely story.

I know you wrote this a little while ago now, but I just want to let you know that this was a beautiful story. The honesty of not only your words, but the images conveyed was so touching. Well done on a lovely piece of writing.
Author's Response: Thanks, epiphilly. I always, always appreciate reviews, especially such kind ones! I\'m glad you enjoyed reading it; I certainly loved writing it. :)

This is a wonderfully interesting and suspenseful story. I am loving every word! I really like the way you have mixed up the timeline - I've never seen "Damages", so I imagine you have modelled the format off of it. It really adds to the anxiety that's being built up, and it is very unique. I am looking forward to finding out what happened to Pam, who did it, and where Jim has been. I hope you can update soon!

This is a wonderful story. It is impossible not to connect with the heartbreak in both of them. What Jim siad to Pam, though, really did break my heart. I hope Jim can prove himself to Pam, I hope they can trust eachother and work it out, and I hope you update very soon.

I love Halloween fics! And I am really enjoying this one. It is a lot of fun, and I adore how you have set up the entire senario - with Michael and his team building, Pam and Roy, Pam and Jim, and now Dwight joining Pam and Jim. And of course, all the paranormal phenomena! I am very much looking forward to the next chapters.

Oh, that was good! Fantastic writing. You definitely got me. I totally thought it was Jim's thoughts right until the very end. I think you could leave it there if you really wanted to, but it does have wonderful potential for further development. In any case, well done on a great piece!
Author's Response: I decided I am going to continue it, although it may be a few days before I can get the next chapter up. Thanks a lot!
