Listen, I am obsessed with those moments on the boat. I'll never forget when that episode aired for the first time -- my husband watched the show from season 1, and while I was always in the room, oftentimes I was half paying attention, flipping through a magazine or something (I KNOW!). But I don't think I turned my eyes away from that screen once during BC (nor did I breathe throughout the whole 27 seconds scene). I felt almost haunted by it and was relieved to read an interview with JK & JF wherein they talked about how incredible and intense that scene turned out. I absolutely love it. :o)

I'm glad you liked it! I love the confession scene (which cemented my belief that Steve Carell is brilliant), but I was disappointed by GWH -- I really expected to hear more from Pam, even if it was a continuation of her rejection. So what I tried to do here was take what I liked from CN, then write it from there as I think it might've also happened. (Did that make any sense at all?) :o)
Thanks so much for taking the time to review each chapter like this -- I know it's tedious to do that, and I so appreciate it. :o)

I loved the brother-to-brother talk; I think it was really important for Jim to understand what he'd put Pam through (though I still want her to understand the same thing!). I lov ehow Pam's becoming more confident, learning more about herself, but still loves Jim.
