Tacklehugs for the update!!

I cannot wait to hear what happened with Jim and his wife! Have they really not seen each other in a year!?!? Why are they not divorced!!

So now that we have heard some about what Jim has been up to... I am hoping that it is going to be Pam's turn to spill. I love her confidence with Jim over dinner and then continued at the hotel.

Please don't leave us for so long! Missed you so much!

Author's Response: Thanks, Aivilo. This chapter's not really what you asked for, but it's on it's way, I swear!

I eagerly anticipate whatever plans you have next for our world travelers!

W. O. W.

This just keeps getting better! The banter in this chapter was simply awesome. I mean, I'd offer up details of what, specifically, in this chapter I found awesome, but I mean, the whole thing, top to tail, all of it was made from the good stuff.

Now, next chapter... A pub.... I'm hoping some liquid confidence will get some blanks about both of thier pasts filled in...

So, we don't have to worry about Roy getting hired at his most recent interview.

I will miss your story once the final chapter is here. I get so excited to see you have an update...

Author's Response: Thank you for your review! I'm glad you've enjoyed the story.

I love it! I like how excited Jim was to go to work and see Pam again, but since he wanted her face to be what greeted him when he got to the office, he used his extra time/ energy to do something nice for her. I think that really shows off the difference between Jim and her former fiancé.

I really found the banter between them to be very fun. I think it really shows how fun and easy their relationship can and hopefully will be.

I am so so so so happy that even with Roy crashing at Pam's house for a couple of weeks, since they both acknowledged that they want to be together, they are moving forward with the new relationship. I'm hoping that since Pam will be busy hanging out with Jim while Roy is living on her sofa, Roy will get the point that she has moved on and he should do so as well.

Really though, I have to wait all the way til the weekend for more?!? Aww man! (I look forward to it!!!)

Author's Response: Thank you as always for your long review. I appreciate every one of them. I'm really glad you're enjoying this story.

I'm so glad to see you back with an update! I like that this AU has Pam making the first move. And also glad that since Jim is leaving Pam's apartment with Roy in it, he was able to leave knowing how she felt and where he stood with her.

I hope those pesky headaches stay away and we get another update soon!

Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I like Pam making the first move, too. She deserves to have a little fun sometimes too, right? And, the headaches have stayed away, so yay for that!

Aww, the date was wonderful. I enjoyed the exchange of embarrassing childhood stories and how, instead of heading home to deal with the headache that is Roy, Pam had Jim take her to his place for additional quality time.

I look forward to whatever you have coming up next for them!

Author's Response: Thank you for your review. I was really nervous about writing the first date so I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I might be as excited for the date as Jim and Pam are...

I figured that despite Pam making it very clear that she was no longer interested in Roy, that he'd still try to convince her otherwise. I'm so happy that although she is trying hard not to hurt his feelings, she isn't letting that keep her from the forward profession her life was taking before he and his sob story landed on her doorstep.

I love the contrast she gets to make by going out with sincere gentleman Jim.

I'll be stalking around here tomoro, looking for that update you promised...

Author's Response: I'm excited, too, maybe even more than Jim and Pam, if that's possible! :) Thank you for your review and for your continued support of the story! I plan on writing the next chapter this evening.

I loved everything about this story and will miss it soooo much!
Maybe you have something else in your brilliant brain you'd like to write... I know I wouldn't be the only one excited by it...

Author's Response: Thank you so so much for sticking with me through this story, and thank you so much for all of your wonderful comments throughout! I am so happy that you liked how this went. The ending was my favorite chapter by far - I guess I just like writing romantic fluff lol I do have something else planned, and I'm in the process of writing it out now, so hopefully I like it enough to post it up here. Hope to hear from you again on future stories! Thanks again :-)

Okay. First.
Thanks for the call for updates on all the unfinished WIPs! I figure we have you to thank for the activity on the archive. Thank you!

Now. New chapter. As always, it was great. I loved how you showcased how well Jim and Pam work together as a team. I love how she talks Jim down after his interview and later once he is home, how she was able to decode the possible why for this odd interview 'homework' Jim was given. I also really enjoyed the family time you gave us in this chapter as well, Cece had a milestone, aided by her daddy, when she was able to have grandparents there cheering her on, I was so happy for her! And how perfect was it to end with a little nap. That was just lovely.

I cannot wait for more!

Author's Response: Aw! It was getting a little lonely around here, and I'm so happy to see the updates too! Hopefully others will join in on the fun. I'm so happy to hear that you liked the little snippet of family life in this chapter. I started feeling like maybe it was too out of no where but I was really happy with how it turned out, so thanks for letting me know you liked that part. I love that these two are a team and I'm so happy to see that what I'm trying to show is coming across. I'm loving writing Cece, and I'll have a hard time not including her in future stories lol More of this on the way soon, I'm away for a few days starting tomorrow so if I can't squeeze out the next chapter today, I promise to have an update by Monday evening. Very happy that you liked this chapter and I'm looking forward to your thoughts on the next one when it's posted! :-)

I had no idea that Bob was gonna be that hard on Jim! But it does make a lot of sense for him to be cautious with his wife's job situation. But I love how Jim's persistence, with a touch of desparation, worked out.

And how amazing is it that his interview was with his baby girl's BFF's dad!

Although I do look forward to the epilogue, I am sad that this story is coming to an end... I hope you have another story in that amazingly creative brain of yours...

Author's Response: I couldn't let Jim get things so easily with Bob lol I needed him to fight for it, and I went with the everything happens for a reason saying, in my head, the hospital stay for Pam gave Jim this sense of desperation and he just blurted it out in the meeting with Bob, and because of that and his stellar salesman skills Bob agreed. Glad it didn't sound too far fetched when it was written out! Yeah, I wanted Nicky to have a meaning in the story beyond Cece's BFF when I initially introduced him. I'm really sad that this is over and I can't thank you enough for always saying such lovely things and for always letting me know what you thought throughout the story! Thank you so so much! :-)

Never, ever, never apologize for a long chapter! I love your story so much and if it is a lengthy chapter then I can enjoy longer before I have to hit the edge of my seat to await more from you! And I didn't think that this chapter had any wasted words, so again, lovely work!

Interesting interview project Jim has. I cannot wait to see how he does. And how amazing is it that he has a friendly name on his homework!

Author's Response: Thanks so much! I'm glad you weren't bothered by the length, I worry that I'm too wordy sometimes, but I hate taking things out once I've written them. Thanks so much for the lovely compliment of my writing. I really appreciate it! I know this project seems a little odd but part of it happened to me, and part of it happened to a friend, so I incorporated it here (more of her experience than mine, which was showing up at the place to interview and finding the person that I was supposed to meet with wasn't there - and I couldn't do that to Jim lol) So happy that you liked this chapter and are continuing to follow this story! HOpe you like the next one as well, more is on the way soon, I'm about a chapter ahead of myself right now, so the next one will be up soon. :)

That was not how that meeting was supposed to go! But I did really like how it made really good sense in the story. Bob Vance would be conservative and not want to take a chance spending money he may not make back just before his family is set to lose one of their incomes...

But now, what will happen with James Halpert when he meets back with the radio people for a job!! I'm so excited to read more!

Author's Response: I'm backed up with review responses, sorry about that! Thanks so much for sticking with me through the story!

I'm sorry you had a tough week... But I can assure you that the new chapter was worth the wait!! I am so glad that Jim and Pam were able to have a good come clean chat. I hope that tomoro's interview goes well, and that they won't have to sell the house...

I hope that you feel better!

Author's Response: Thanks! I'm feeling a little better. Hoping that it continues, I hate being sick. I'm so happy to hear that their chat came across well, I was worried that it was too much, so I'm relieved to hear that you liked it. I think even though they know they love each other, there are still sometimes when they need to be reassured. Next chapter is on the way soon, I'm hoping within the next day or two. Stay tuned, and thanks so much for such a lovely review! :) Hope you continue to enjoy this story.

I know that you were taking the long weekend off, but I am really hoping that soon we will find out how Pam and Baby Girl A are doing at the hospital...

I miss you!

Oh my goodness. My heart shatters...

Who knew what Pam has been holding in all this time? Her happy, strong face, only mask as she suffered with feelings of sadness, lonliness, and guilt, all this time?!?! And poor James, already feeling so low, putting thier beloved house up for sale, reading of his wife's anguish and fear, when he thought he was going to just get the opportunity to smile proudly over her creativity as he read the beginnings of her young adult novel?

And now, has all that stress caused some complications for Pam and baby A? Has Pam's heart shattered too?

I'm waiting for more...

Author's Response: I loved showing strong Pam throughout this story, but I also really believe that she would have been hiding her worries so Jim wouldn't start worrying about her. I really think in times like these, people do tend to not say everything they're thinking, and sometimes writing it down helps deal with the way you feel. I really needed something to nudge Jim to be more pro active in his job search, and I think I found it. Hopefully you enjoy the update as well! Thanks so much for being with me along this journey! :-)

I whispered a 'yes' when I saw this at the top of the most recents page.

This is amazing, just like I knew it would be. You are a brilliant story teller, I cannot wait for more!

Wow, just woah, wow, woah, wow...

What exactly are you tryna do to me? That amazing family morning, followed by that grenade tossed in their little family bubble!

I am thrilled that you already told us that this story mapped out. That saves my life because now I have to hold my breath waiting for chapter two.... Don't let me run out of air!

Author's Response: BREATHE!!! LOL I just posted the second chapter! I would have done it sooner but my coworker kept interrupting me all day long. I do have a very real end point for this, and hopefully it's not terribly predictable. Glad you're enjoying it and I really appreciate the kind review. Hope to hear from you again! :)

Wow. This is really good. So, the beginning of this chapter it sounded as if they were gonna be trying for a sibling for Cece, and apparently they were successful a little earlier than they meant to be?

I love the stress and tension you wrote for them. It wouldn't be realistic to stay perfect after being blind sided by the loss of a job and a downgrade of another. I am glad Jim acknowledged that it wasn't going to be easy for Pam going back to receptionist duties.

I cannot wait to see what else you have planned for them!

Author's Response: Thanks! My intention was to hint that they started trying earlier, like right before the story started and just as he's thinking they shouldn't, boom, they're having a baby. I'm really happy to hear that I'm writing these emotions and the tensions well. The arguing was the most difficult getting it just write so it wasn't over the top. I am so happy to hear you enjoyed this chapter and I'm sorry for the delay in replying to reviews! Thanks so much for the support and the feedback. :)

Big time hoorahs and jumps for joy because of the outstandingness that is you work!

I love every single thing you are giving us in this story. I really appreciated how Pam explained to her overwhelmed and over-worried husband that it would take more than a case of the cranks to get her to run off. And her persistence and encouragement paid off, he got an interview with an employer he already has a good rapport with!

But what is with the way you are leaving is hanging?!? At the last sentence muttered a 'dun, dun, dun' for this sticky predicament you have gotten Jim into.
I am hoping that Pam encourages him to not take it. I don't want her to have to play single mom for half the month. And if she was worried about drifting apart before, I cannot see where spending two weeks a month apart would be helpful.

But on the other hand, with the way Jim has been worried about dollars and providing for his family, I can't see him tossing off a good job offer so easily....

Cannot wait to see what you have planned for next. I adore your work!

Author's Response: :) Thank you! I know, I'm horrible with the cliff hangers and was going to include the rest of this part of the story in one chapter, but it's already over 3,000 words so I decided to split up the idea into two (or more) chapters - working without a written out outline is so much fun! This is going to be a big dilemma for Jim, and I have something planned to help him make the decision. I won't ruin it for you, so I'll hush up about it, but I hope you continue to like this story! Thanks so much for the lovely compliments and such insightful reviews! It really means a lot to see that what I've written came across in the exact way I wanted it to. :) More on the way soon!

Wow! So over four thousand words and still finished way too quickly!

It was all just amazing! Do you know that I almost forgot about Pam's young adult novel? Great little detail, there.

But I like that Jim and Pam came to the decision that it would be best for the family to stick close and he say thanks, but no thanks, to his recent decent job offer. The daddy/ daughter scenes of Jim in the park with his little girl, imagining her future, and her soon coming role as big sister, it would be so sad for him to pack up and leave his three other pieces....

But, at first, when he was at lunch with a melancholy Pam, I thought he would lean to take, because if he had a good job, maybe she could stop working there and create works of fiction and art while at home with her little people.

But I gotta tell you, ahhhhmaaaayyyzinnnngggg work from you, as always. Cannot wait for more!

Author's Response: Thank you so much for this amazing review! I had this entire chapter written in my mind for a while and I'm so thrilled that it came out to being something you really enjoyed reading. I couldn't believe it was over 4,000 words, but I didn't want to cut any Jim/Cece interaction because I thought it fit. I'm really happy that you got and liked what i tried to do with this chapter, show him in this one day spending time with his daughter and his wife, feeling two different things but not actually saying it until the end. Very happy to see you're still with the story, and hope you enjoy the continuation, and can't wait to see what you think of it! :)

Oh, James the wife is always right. Pam hasn't steered him wrong yet, I have a feeling her streak of awesome will continue... {or at least I truly hope}.

I got so excited that Jim and Pam acknowledged the hope/ plan that once he finds work, she can leave the job she is unhappy at and stay home with the kids.

Thanks trillions for another fabulous update, you do amazing work and I hope you continue with the fast updates because I'm here on the edge of my seat, waiting for more!

Author's Response: Thanks a gazillion for all of the lovely reviews, including this one! I'm so happy that you're sticking with me and this story, thanks so much for letting me know whats' working for you! Yes, Pam, and most women, are always right. Much more on the way soon, hope you enjoy the update. Not done quite yet! Stay tuned, and can't wait to hear what you think about the latest update. :)
