He doesn't sound good at all! He sounds so bad, it's almost hard to envision. You've done a marvelous job, of course, just... should he go to the hospital (why am I so worried over a fictional form of a fictional character??)

Since we don't know what he's thinking until the end, having Jim act distant is a nice continuity, since he's feeling somewhat better, he would go back to you're-not-getting-through-my-wall!Jim. You could see holes in it, then WHAM! He had his wake up call, I think, when he admitted, out loud, that she scared him. For all he knew before he got to her, she could have been dead and can you imagine what kind of freak out was happening in his mind. Yikes!

Poor Pam through most of it, not knowing what is going on inside his head and just wanting some kind of physical contact. Glad she got it :)

Wow, that was a change, Jazzy, but I'm glad you're going for it. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited for them to be happy, married, parents, whatever... but I MISS the angst and I was worried all the angst writing would dry up now that the baby is here.

This was great. Give me hap-happy on the show and some angst in fic :)

Please, please continue with this story! It always worries me when an author says they don't know where they're going with a story, since they might not finish. I'm enjoying this very much :)

It's a little thing, but my favorite parts are the tag lines and how the problem at the end of the chapter flow with what was written. Well done!

You rocked this best-of-both-worlds epilogue! It's something that one could read who only reads quick one-shots, since it stands alone so sharp and pure. At the same time it so seamlessly offers us (ok, ME) a precise ending to NY (which is by FAR my favorite thing ever written by you- and that's saying something, since everything you write is golden.)

Adding the ring being purchased the first week was completely unexpected! The whole ending was... when he told her to put on the lotion, I thought it was because he wanted to remember the day (getting through the first big fight, him knowing she really doesn't want Roy and she's happy with him/getting over his insecurities, etc) but then you pull out the big guns. WOOOO! I was ohmygodohmygodohmygodd-ing along with her. It felt so spur of the moment and perfectly them and I'm just a total goner! You rock my world, Kate!

Very sweet. This is what a parent is; every cliche is true. I was told so many things while I was pregnant and I'd just roll my eyes- now I'M the one telling people what it's like. I just shake my head and chuckle when they roll their eyes :)

Sorry it's taken so long to review. I've tried to read it about 8 times, but get interrupted or don't have enough time to read it all so I keep coming back to it. FINALLY I have enough time to read and review.

I love Season 2 fic, especially now that all the angst is over. I enjoy reading all the different ways they could have been brought together, since it could only happen once on the show.
Maggie is something else... slipping Jim another girl's phone number; saying she doesn't deserve him. HA! Touching story about the sweater and Pam knitting it for him. It seems a Pam thing to do, make something and hide it away. Jim sinking into the couch to wrap his mind around the letter would be an automatic response for him, I think.

Wonderful story, as always Ann! You're such an amazing person for setting this up for Nancy, cause she really does deserve this. I'm glad I was one of the few to know early, since it helped me through my lack of fic frustration and gave me something to look forward to ;)
