You know, this song was on 4 different radio stations at the same time today. I'm actually a fan of it and of some of Katy Perry's songs, but it's being overplayed for sure.

Anyways, on to an actual review - This is so cute, sweet and omg so hot. I really love everything about it, love their passion and fire for one another.

I'm not sure of any other way to create a series other than go to create series, and copy and paste your chapters within that series. I'm pretty sure they'll show up all as new one shots with the series title and a new read count/review count. Since I'm not a mod, I don't know for sure but I think that's at least one way to do it if you wanted to make it a series. Hope that was helpful.

Oh, I loved this! I really believe it was these little moments like this one that made them fall for one another. Is that overanalyzing fictional characters too much? Eh, well. That's what these fics are for, right? This was really sweet, and I can really see this as having happened between takes, and I'm happy that they never kissed here, it keeps that last episode of season 2 sacred as it should be, and feeds into the line 'you have no idea how long I've wanted to do that.' Hope you have more stories to share with us on the way!

Author's Response: Thanks Deedldee and no, I don't think it's possible to overanalyze fictional characters...at least certain fictional characters hwo are so intriguing!  Glad you liked it.

This is so cute! I'm sitting here grinning so much my coworkers probably think I've lost it. This is adorable, and I've actually never read a story about the Youtube video and the subsequent boat ticket purchase. My favorite part of this was how Jim's brothers and sister mock him for being excited for his wedding, and the part about him telling Pam he wouldn't complain about her wedding plans this time. I really enjoyed this so much!

Author's Response: Sorry that your coworkers think that JAM broke your brain :D We don't know much about Jim's brothers and sister, but I always assumed that since he's a born pranker, his siblings must be something too! Thanks for the review, I'm really glad you enjoyed this :)

If I may offer a little constructive criticism - you may want to read through this again and add in missing punctuation marks and fix some lines where the dialogue is bunched together. Sorry to do that in a review, but the contact author function doesn't work.

I totally DID miss this chapter! Must have been when I was on vacation. Glad I realized that because this chapter was so great! I really felt like I could hear them saying these words out loud. I like how the Katy thing is such a big part of why she didn't think he could like her, and that it made her mad, like he back stabbed her somehow. I have to say that I'm considering this to be exactly how the first days of their relationship went. I especially like how you've handled the Secret, that he really had no idea what he was saying and that it did upset her a lot. Excellent characterization and the little details you've thrown in are wonderful!

Author's Response: Thank you! Season 2 was so full of pain and betrayal; most of time, I don't think they even realized that they were hurting each other. I still have a hard time watching those episodes.

This absolutely sounds like something I've imagined them saying to each other! I loved so much of this chapter that I would end up quoting the whole thing if I picked out a favorite part. I do think I missed a chapter though, but I'm out of time to go back and read it so I promise to do that as soon as possible! Keep on going! This is so good!

Author's Response: Thank you! This chapter gave me a lot of trouble and I really, really didn't want to post anything until it felt authentic so I'm really happy to hear that it worked for you!

I'm so excited to have you back, and I'm sorry for the delay, taking a mini vaca from work so I've been away from the computer all day. I LOVE this update, I love how understanding Pam is and how she lets him know that no matter what happens she's still his friend and he can and should tell her anything. It so showcases her easy going spirit and undertones how now that she's this close to being so happy with finally having Jim back, she's not going to mess it up by being petty and annoyed that he didn't call her back. And, the business stuff totally made sense to me, so I think you're good. I love the attention to detail, them not wanting to get caught by the cameras and the relationship forms and their simple way of talking to one another. OK it's late and I'm rambling, so I'll just say I love it and hope you have more on the way soon!! =)

I wish I had something more constructive to say other than - I love first date fic and I'm loving the style in which you're writing this story, so, I love this! Can't wait to read more of it!

Author's Response: Thanks so much! I LOVE your stories so I'm really happy that you're enjoying mine. More coming soon!

I love the beginning of this chapter (and the end too) but the beginning is just perfect. I like how you don't portray Pam as a shy wall flower whose only slept with one guy and is afraid to touch Jim. I like that she's just as into him as he is with her. And his comments about wanting to see her art work were so sweet- he wants to see that part of her life again. Really excited for the next chapter and after the last two terrible work days that I've had reading this made me smile and for that I thank you :-)

Author's Response: I could imagine her having some nerves and insecurities during their first few sexual encounters because it's natural to feel that way when sleeping with someone new for the first time but Jim has been her best friend for years and there's so much pent up sexual tension between the two of them...I just don't see her being paralyzed with fear or wanting to play hard to get. I'm so happy I could make you smile! Hopefully, I can continue to do so.

Holy moly that beginning was hot stuff girl! I wouldn't worry so much about the names of his brother's wives, the show itself changes things so often that it can be rough to keep up with, you've got nothing to worry about. I don't want to slight other people with first date fics but this is one of the best ones I've read, very true to character, Jim's a guy - checking out her cleavage and what not, and Pam while nervous, really and truly loves him just as much as he loves her. I like that she's confident and I think that's true to her character toward the end of season 3 and beginning of season 4. I'm looking forward to reading the span of that summer. With your characterization, I think this will continue to be a real true account of that summer.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I have a lot of ideas for this story and I'm excited that so many people are enjoying it! I have a feeling this is going to be a long one.

Jumping over the Karen stuff for a moment just to say I love Jim and his mom and how she got even more motherly when she found out he broke up with Karen. She reminded me of Marie Barone from Raymond, which is not a bad thing, trust me. I loved that last part, and I especially love that Jim protects both Pam and Karen in his mother's eyes by not dragging their names down. And the Jim thinking of Karen and feeling badly for having broken up with her and that he actually did love her on some level fits in with his character really well. I mean he can't be great Jim Halpert and be an ass. He had to have loved her, he was abut to move to a new city with her, you know? I know it's not as much as he loves Pam, but still, nice to see he cared enough about her to worry about her. Oh, and I'm so excited to see an update to this twice in one day!! You rock! :) Hope for more soon!

Author's Response: As much of a Jam fan as I am, I really do think he loved Karen...maybe not completely but I think he really tried to make their relationship work. There were so many missed opportunities in Season 3 on Jim's part and I don't think it was because he was being obtuse or fearful...I think he was simply trying to make his relationship with Karen work and move on from Pam once and for all. We saw him dating casually in Season 2 but he's interactions with Karen were so different than with Katy; obviously he took his relationship with Karen much more seriously. And, yeah. Jim Halpert does not seem like the type of guy to spill the details of his relationships (physically, emotionally or otherwise) or say anything bad about an ex.

This was such a great chapter! I love the cupcake story, I can completely see Jim's brothers acting just like that, and how he doesn't want to hurt his mom's feelings is definitely so Jim. And the description of how slow he eats, great job picking that up, I hadn't noticed how slow he really does eat in the few scenes we've seen him eating. And how cute is he that he chooses not to eat cherries because Pam doesn't eat them. Adorable. I love the pacing of this, the small steps they're taking, and your description of their kiss by the car was so perfect. They want to be together so badly but want to take it slow fits in so well with what Jim said in Goodbye Toby (I think that's the one where he's telling Michael that he took things slow with Pam) I am loving this so much! I anxiously await the next chapter! I hope you continue this story for like 90+ chapters!

Author's Response: I had forgotten about that scene! But, yes! As much as they want to be together, I don't see them just rushing into it. I think Jim would want to resolve things with Karen first and I think they would probably both want to savor the newer aspects of their relationship before completely diving into to a physical relationship. At the rate I'm going, I'll probably write 90+ chapters before we even make it to the first date. :)

I've been trying to read this chapter for the past half hour but my coworker keeps interrupting me with work nonsense! Ugh! Anyways... I love Penny and Pam's relationship, it's so sweet and I like how Penny is so excited for her sister and so into helping her pick out the perfect outfit. What I love the most is seeing this part of Pam, the part that wants to look sexy for Jim, the part that's been waiting all this time and wants to put in all of this effort to look her best. Clothes really do affect your mood, (I don't think guys get that lol) but the nicer we dress the better we feel, and I really like that you incorporated that part of being a woman into this chapter. The fact that she doesn't want any lingerie to be green make me nod my head, I can completely see her saying that. I'm so happy that the angst and the apologies are in the past now and we get to see Jim and Pam move on from that and go on a fancy romantic date. I am so looking forward to the next chapter!

Author's Response: Stupid co-workers. Don't they know fanfic comes first!? I really loved Pam's transition when she came back in Season 4; she was so much more confident and engaged. She dressed and carried herself so differently and it was obvious that she had embraced that girly, sensual side of herself. Obviously, I think her relationship with Jim played a pivotal role in uncovering that side of herself and I really wanted to explore that in this story. I'm glad the "green" reference wasn't too much; I really wanted to add that but I was afraid it would come off kitschy.

And now I need to know what happens after lunch! This was great, I loved the time stamp account, that it was all from Pam's POV and that there was no dialog just action and her thoughts. I could feel the tension jumping off the page, and I felt so bad for Pam! She was so happy shopping with her sister over the weekend and now she has to deal with all of this drama. I definitely think you nailed everything on the head here, the way Karen and Jim acted, and Pam's silent reaction to their argument in the kitchen and all of her coworkers staring at her making her feel embarrassed and in need to get out of there, even if it was just for coffee for her boss, all if it was perfect characterization. I'm anxious to read about the rest of this day and about their first real date!

Author's Response: I'm glad this worked. To be honest, this chapter was such a pain to write. I don't know if it was the lack of dialogue, the lack of action...the lack of smut...but this just wasn't a fun chapter to write and I was worried that it wouldn't be a fun chapter to read, either.

Oh this angst is painful! At 4:41pm I was yelling at Jim to just sent Pam an email, damn it! Man, this chapter kicked MY ass completely! I'm not sure I ever really considered how hard the break up with Karen would have been on Jim, and I never really thought they would have each others things in the others apartment. I really like that you picked up this chapter in the afternoon from Jim's POV, it flows so perfectly. I definitely don't remember reading such a detailed account of their break up in this way. I'm happy that Pam finally called him and so angry that he ignored it! Damn it, Jim! Wake up! Loving this so much, and can't wait for the next chapter. I look forward to your interpretations of their first real date and Jim's moment of 'I got it a week after we started dating.' What was the exact thing that led him to do that, etc. So excited to read more!!

Author's Response: Haha! That made me laugh out loud! Jim just seems like the type of guy to have a hard time breaking up with someone. Add in his conflicting feelings throughout the relationship and his guilt about planning to start a new relationship so soon after the breakup and...BAM!...instant angst. Besides, he and Karen had dated (and I'm assuming slept together) for over six months so I imagine they had woven themselves in each other's lives to some degree (i.e. kept things at each other's apartments, met each other's friends, etc.) which would have only made their breakup more complicated. SO happy you're enjoying this! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on upcoming chapters.

Aww, Jim and the Dundies. No, you're not alone. I agree completely, that Dundie drunken kiss was a sign for him.

Just wanted to mention one thing - in the beginning you mention deer urine, and as odd as this may seem, I just wrote a chapter that's with my beta that mentions the same thing, so I didn't want you to think I'm taking the idea or anything. It's in a different context completely but I just wanted to mention that, I didn't want you thinking that I took an idea of yours.

Hope you'll be able to update soon, I'm enjoying this.

Author's Response: Deer urine (I THINK) was mentioned in an episode, so it's not even my idea, so don't worry about it! Those cruel writers left us to fill in the blanks about what ordering deer urine over the internet would entail, so I'm eager to see your interpretation :)

You are so welcome! I really enjoyed helping you with this! You definitely hit the nail on the head with how teenagers act. Cece seems so sweet, but she just needs some space to become her own person. It can be uncomfortable talking to parents about boys, and I think as we get older, we forget that that's what it's like to be a teenager, and you played that perfectly here. And the horror of Cece seeing her parents make out was really so funny! I so loved how Pam was able to calm Jim down, she knows just how to handle him when he gets frazzled :) I love that they're still so in love with each other after all those years have passed. I'd love to read more of these, hopefully you'll feel inspired to do that soon!
