i loved this chapter. so honest and true. and i truly believe that they do "need" each other but are learning that that isn't all they are. i think it rings true for all couples. beautiful.

One of my favorite quotes from Rilke: "Once the realization is accepted that even between the closest people infinite distances exist, a marvelous living side-by-side can grow up for them, if they succeed in loving the expanse between them, which gives them the possibility of always seeing each other as a whole." I think it really applies to Jim and Pam. As much as some of the stuff they went through sucks, I think they know they had to go through it. Thank you for your thoughts!

jim's description of katy was priceless. he's gonna be mighty excited when he learns pam's got katy beat in the "abundance" category...and they're real. lol. anyway, another great chapter. i chuckled the whole way through!
