Title: Chapter 1: Precipitation
He’s learned to tread lightly around the ever-shifting boundaries of what’s acceptable to say when Pam is angry with Roy.
Beautifully captures Jim's sensitivity, without taking away his man card. I love the way you do this, Colette. Also, their teasing over marshamallows--so them.
Good exercise,’ he smiles, flexing a wool-obscured muscle for full he-man emphasis.
ZING! Love this. So often, Jim is portrayed almost as a girl (I am guilty of this myself), but a moment like this reminds us that under that drab exterior is a very competitive male. Nicely done.
Author's Response: I never understood the notion that Jim's sensitivity deleted his 'man card' (ha! good description) - just seems like such an anachronistic 'tude. So, yeah - his little he-man joke aside, I'm glad his cajones seem intact here. Thanks much, NEJ!
