Very cute scene here. If we're not going to get the proposal in the rain at the gas station, then having the proposal at the office is also fitting.

Nice way to wrap it all up. Mostly following the plot, but your own AU twists along the way. Well done.

First off, I'm kind of ashamed at myself for literally needing you to spell it out for me what you were going with, with this whole thing. This Pam may not have grown up with Disney fairy tale movies, but I sure as hell did. (Lion King is still the best regardless of anything :P) Which is why I'm upset at myself that it took me so long to figure this out. All that time and energy spent sitting on the couch and I can't even figure out a new adaptation when it's staring me right in the face.

That being said, masterful job with how you've weaved this one together. The whole modern day fairy tale with a ton of classic Office craziness. I also liked how you brought Cecelia into the mix here. Great addition and if we look forward a bit it adds depth to future JAM-ness.

Looking forward to seeing what comes next. Will Prince Jim ride in and save the day? Will Princess Pam be woken from a cursed sleep by True Love's kiss? Will someone kick a giant rock on top of the Evil Queen? Will they break out in song and dance? Actually considering your chapter titles, that one might seem the most likely at this point. I digress. Anyway, still lots of fun. Can't wait to see how it all wraps up.

I never doubted you for an instant that you'd wrap this one up. A little different that what I was expecting. No big rocks crushing evil step mothers (step girlfriends, is that a thing?) or anything like that.

However in the end Jim does show up, and wake the fair princess from her sleep which is sweet. I loved their honesty with each other there. I loved that, while the catalyst might have been a seemingly silly wish, it sparked enough in them to finally be honest with each other and in so doing, their wishes came true. Well done.

Author's Response: Yeah, I feel like lashing-out Jim has definitely been done, and besides I think if she'd actually come the next day he'd have been more like this. So I decided to make him better about it. Glad you seem to be still enjoying!

Great birthday present. Thank you very much. I've very much enjoyed this tale. It's great to see Pam realize so quickly what she really wants and then to act on it so decisively. I loved how you wrote Larissa as well. I get the feeling that in this universe she's been on of Jim's go to people when he's needed to talk about Pam. Thus all her wonderful silliness here is her way of expressing her joy about everything as well.

I also really liked the do-over kiss at Jim's desk. I have to ask, what that little scene in any way inspired by "Reset and Restart?" If so great way to use that idea but make it your own. If not, same compliment still applies.

Lots of fun with this story. Thanks for writing it. I'll leave with my normal send off for a completed fic, but this time it seems to fit even more.

That scene was not inspired by "Reset and Restart" but I do think great minds think alike (or run in the same gutters as my parents used to say) so I do recognize the overlap now that I've written it! It was just because I realized I had Pam literally in the office still wearing the dress...

 I fully agree about Larissa, and I'm glad that worked for you, because that's how I would have liked to see a fleshed-out sister on the show. God knows Jim could use some people to talk to (and maybe if he'd had them he wouldn't have been so angsty...but that way lies madness). 

 Fortune does indeed favor the bold, at least here. And in all my fics, actually, but this is probably the most explicit about that...

At long last we bring this one to a close. Pam quitting TV acting after everything she's gone through with this seems to fit. Feels like she finally got a handle on herself and what she really wants out of life. Really liked that she did continue acting just in a different way though. Nice to see that.

She and Jim look like they're in a great place too. once they finally got everything out in the open and were honest, they could build a relationship worth having with each other. Nice to see that.

A bit of a roller coaster for sure with this one. You did great in bringing it all together though.

Feels like a lot of subtle things are going on here. Jim's keeping his distance, but then that email about jellybeans shows up. Pam's playing her role but if feels like something else is going on in her mind. Then we get to Casino Night and....nothing big happens. At least not yet. However now she's free of the cameras. I think Jim knows that too. He also knows her relationship with Roy is a sham. The next bit of this should be very interesting to say the least.

I was considering skipping Casino Night all together, but it's a very cute chapter, even without the whole Jim/Pam situation. Also, it was fun writing it and then... nothing happens. But now the cameras are gone.

Glad to see you and this story back. Quite interesting to see Pam's head space here. She's clearly still uncomfortable in her role. Pretending to be someone she's not like this and all the while her feelings for Jim just keep growing.

I like that Jim turns to her for advice. Clearly he still wants to be involved with her even if she kind of shut him out. Nice to see their friendship is getting back on track there.

Really kind of fun there in the party. I 100% get that it would take a couple beers for her to relax and have fun. With everything she knows going on behind the scenes, yeah it would take a little booze for her to calm down. However her "losing" her coat was a lot of fun. And the extra beer just sent her over the edge. This is a big thing of course and I'm really looking forward to seeing how it all plays out. Is now the time for Pam to spill the beans? How will Jim react? This is getting good.

I kinda figured that out of anyone, it would be Jim who would most likely cause Pam's facade to crack. It's almost as if I can already see the train of events leading up through some of their more important moments.

I do like how you're getting into Pam's head here. It's nice way to get her perspective on everything.
