This is my favorite chapter yet...they've all been great, but this one for me tops them all. You managed to cover so much ground in such a short amount of space here...just the little details about them spinning around the kitchen, how Pam feels when people touch her, how freaking adorable Jim is with his Grandpa-esque sports on the radio and how he's introducing baby Halpert to good music.  I also loved the details about him never buying another iPod for himself -- especially now. Again, just such a great chapter.

Author's Response:

The kitchen thing was incredibly self indulgent - I just want to see them do that - or at least like imagining it.  Jim is totally grandpa-esque and you know he's a music geek.

I am so very glad you liked it.   Especially coming from such a baby connoisseur as yourself. ;)

Is it bad that I DON'T want her to come yet? That means the end of these lovely letters! ::sigh:: This has been so much fun.

Author's Response: Hmm.  What makes you say "her"?  LOL!  You are too sweet.  Next chapter (and unfortunately the end for now) is coming soon.

::sigh:: so sad to see this one end.  I loved that you ended it with a letter from Jim.  I'm sure Pam was a little tired by that point. lol. So adorable. This was a great idea!

Author's Response:

Yeah she was not really in the mood to write at that moment I don't think.  I had always intended Jim to have the last word so to speak.  I'm sooo glad that you enjoyed it!

Know how you can repay me?  Write more Jill. :)

Summary: "There are things that still, now, even after all this time, he's still finding out about her that makes him fall in love with her more."

5 times Jim falls a little bit harder for Pam.

These details are NOT excruciating.  They are BLISSFUL. I am in love with the idea of hearing every little bit of this and I really enjoyed the detail that Jim moved his desk back where it belonged the very next day!  Excellent. I can't wait for the next chapter.

Author's Response: Thank you!!

Oh man...first off - thank goodness we got Pam redeeming herself at Victoria Secret! For the love of God, thank you! Second...that scene with Karen was made of awesome. I could TOTALLY see something like that happening and would definitely be reason enough for Pam to think Karen hates her more than Al Queda. lol I'm really enjoying this series of fill in the blanks. :-)

Flawless characterizations here for everyone.  Karen and Andy are both perfect here -- I don't know that I've ever encountered that Karen/Jim scene in the kitchen elaborated on through fanfic before - this absolutely hit the mark. I am enjoying this immensely.

Author's Response: Thanks - I always kind of wished we could actually hear that scene, but it's also good that it left a lot to the imagination.

Ok, you get the award for creativity with that ring scene! I don't think I've ever read a "bought it a week after we started dating" account that occurred with them both in the store when Jim thinks of it. THAT was awesome.  Also awesome is your continuity with Jim not mentioning that Angela and Dwight got it on in the office as well.

Somehow I knew it wouldn't take Pam too long to get her "appetite" back.

Man, I will be SO sad to see this week end. I have really enjoyed every minute of the not-so excruciating detail.  And let me tell you -- when you compliment Dwight's shirt...that's when you know you're in love. lol

Oh and the locket was SUCH a nice touch. Great job with this story.

UGH. I'm so sad to see this story end. Maybe you could do their first week of marriage or first week of living together or first week of having a baby together...in excruciatingly great detail.

That would be AWESOME.

Yes I'm greedy...sorry -- this was wonderful. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Author's Response: I am definitely going to do a follow-up.  It may take a while but I have some ideas.  Merci!

I adored this prequal (sp?). There's always been something fascinating to me about the idea of Pam and Jim's home being broken into...that sounds REALLY odd and strange and just...weird. But I think they would react to the situation exactly as you've described.  I think Jim finding her to be "more"  pregnant in the morning and Pam wanting to scrub things down are so, so real.  I wrote a chapter similar to this in my Babytalk series where their home is broken into...there's just something universal about the emotions you feel when something like that happens.  Great job here.  Please feel free to grace us with your writing ANY TIME. I love it.

Oh Sweetpea...there is just something about your writing that screams: THIS IS TRUE! This has/is really happened/happening!  The essence of Jim and Pam is always written so plainly for all to see.  Also - you have this amazing ability to write in just a few paragraphs what would take many (including myself) a few pages to write.  It's all just right there.  No need to go any further. Your Jim and Pam are always crazy in love in ways that are true.  No need for grand gestures or extravagance.

And look at Pammy...forgetting that pill not once, but twice.  Hmm, wonder if there will be any repercussions. lol

I absolutely buy Erin doing these things...I think you've done a great job of fleshing out a character we don't know very well. Gutsy writing! I love it.

THIS was kind of incredible my dear. Not only completely believable but so poignant. I loved so much about this. Some of those things is pams lasck of inspiration and the fact that it is no lost on Jim at all. Then comes the details...oh the details in this piece are tremendous. The IM thraed after their date? Perfect...jims absolute sadness at her leaving was so pitch perfect and then of course the classic reassurance to Pam that it will all be ok... No to mention his admittance that Michael is an excellent salesman. Ok this could go on forever. LOVED IT!

BRILLIANT. That phone call to Pam...the call back to Jim moving Dwight's desk. I never really think about Michael being a witness to his shenanigans. So awesome.

Missing scenes don't get any better than this.  Sometimes you just know when something is going to be great -- and for me it was the moment Pam's lipstick came rolling out from under the seat.  Only really great writers add those kinds of perfectly delicious touches that set the tone for the entire rest of the chapter.  GREAT stuff.

::sigh:: I love it when you write. ::sigh:: And Pam saying "oh snap" -- GOLD. I could totally picture Pam/Jenna saying that and Jim thinking it's adorable. This was all kinds of great.

:::sigh::: that was dreamy.  That "No" from Jim in response to Michael's "does it get easier" was pretty freaking hot, I might add.  Good work!

And this is why there is no one like you Miss Sweetpea. You just infuse so much heart into your writing, and I feel like every time I get to read something that you wrote it's like looking at the character's heart. You know these characters SO well.  You actually had me comparing myself to Andy...SCARY. But to hear you tell it - he and I have some similarities.  LOVED THIS...and thank you.

I really enjoy this take on the episode!  I always thought that Pam's acceptance of the house was far more about the gesture than the actual house and that there would definitely be things that weren't her favorite...but as she said -- he bought her a house... Thank you for seeing the romance in that, and the possibilities that could have occurred that night...that was absolutely LOVELY.

That was the most fabulous thing.  Honestly, your transitions from moment to moment with just that little intro from the previous moment...God - brilliance.  And what more? The tie in to Engaged Ain't Married??!!! WHAT TUNA?! God, I love this so much.  And to round out this completely incoherent review I have to say that the paragraph about Jim and Pam's desperation once she went to Pratt...that little paragraph, my dear was an absolute gold mine.

What a Pam thing to do.  Giving Angela that word of encouragement is just so incredibly her.  And the whole part about her going to New York, New York and not Utica... that was MADE of awesome, Hugs.  I can just hear Pam thinking that to herself, feeling all proud --what up 212! lol

Author's Response: I'm so glad you thought so!  When I realized this is one of the episodes I'd have to write about I was perplexed at first but then realized on rewatch that it was begging for something between Pam and Angela.  But for me - Angela is so difficult to write.  I also think Angela not talking is perfectly in character so I'm ok with it. :)   Thanks so much for the review.  I really appreicate it!
