1 Ok, I finally read it and it's GOOD. I'm still grossed out by Ryan and always will be, but in this scenario that really works. Plus, I always imagined Pam making all sorts of things with her newly acquired freedom once she breaks up with Roy. So... great!

This was very sweet, especially Jim's awkwardness. The only thing I'm not that sure about is her using his name almost every time she addresses him. It takes a little bit of flow off the conversation. Other than that, my favourite chapter. Looking forwatd to the next, even though I really don't like this story to end.

I had her doing it because it was a way to signal in a Jim-chapter that Pam is trying to connect with him and he's missing it. But I can totally see how it felt overdone! Author's Response: Go to the MTT instagram page and scroll down a bit. Last Christmas they rated all the Christmas episodes in terms of JAM-ness. They added an "alternative ending" to Benihana Christmas which became the inspiration for this fic.

May I make a small suggestion? When you write dialogue and then describe somebody else's reaction, try to put that second part on a separate line. Otherwise is confusing.
“Course. What for?” Jim smirked.
The line was delivered by Mark but, as it is, is seems as if it was Jim who first spoke and then smirked.
Just a thought.
Still, it's a very nice fic!
