1 This is so fun. I love seeing Pam insecure about how she compares to his other dates because that is so very real and I think a large part of her.
Author's Response: Thanks boredhswf! I think Pam is definitely pretty insecure early on - although, that’s one of the nice things that develops throughout the series. She’s got a lot more confidence in herself and her relationship with Jim later on (like when Cathy shows up).

1 Oh, Jenna. My heart is absolutely breaking for you. I am so sorry for your loss and for the pain this brought to you and your SO. I can't even begin to imagine your journey but I am certainly sending positivity and love across oceans to you now.
As far as your story, it was a beautiful description of the stages of joy, realization and grief that only one who has experienced it could possibly communicate and you have done so wonderfully here. I literally had to take a break halfway through because of the profound weight of the emotion and pain expressed was overwhelming. Your way of describing the way Pam felt after the procedure was tremendously powerful and Jim's loving response was equally as heartbreaking.
My only hope is that by expressing this so thoroughly and beautifully with the world, that it brings you some healing, as words often do. XOXO
Author's Response: Thank you, boredhswf! It’s certainly a different sort of grief to live through, but there can be a lot of silver linings to loss. My husband was an absolute sweetheart through the whole thing (despite it being his birthday - I didn’t take all that many creative liberties with this story). Some friends have really gone above and beyond with their support solidifying just how lucky I am to know them. But yes, writing this definitely soothed my soul just a little.
