This is beautiful and wonderful and awesome. I can't really pick out my favorite parts, because I'd be quoting most of what I just read. So a thank you for sharing will have to suffice. I was very happy to see you had posted something new. :)

Hot damn, and how!
This was just...guh...all kinds of awesome. Most excellent job.
When I saw you had posted a story, I admit, my first thought was, "What about Jilly Bean?". So worth it!
Author's Response: awww...Jilly Bean. I'm working on it. But that little girl is not being very cooperative with me. Hence all these...detours with my storytelling. Thanks so much for the kind words Walk! I really appreciate it.

As someone who is very spoiler free, I've had no intention of reading any baby related fics as of late. But since you're spoiler free too, I knew I could read this without fear. And oh am I glad I did. This is lovely, Jazzfan, and I love that I could feel the emotions of the moment. Looking quite forward to the wrap up here. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. :)
Author's Response: Shucks, thanks WIL. Yeah, this definitely won't be what happens on the show so I think you're safe. I appreciate your taking the time to read and review my little story.

I won't go into how very much I've missed reading something new from you or how much I adore your writing or even how amazing you paint the picture in your stories, as I'm sure it's all redundant by now.
But, wow! This was a wonderfully amazing, and unexpected, Sunday afternoon treat. I love this for many reasons but mostly because we get that longing and aching of season 2, without the contrived angst. Thank you so much for this.
Author's Response: S2 minus contrived angst - yay! As you know, long complicated plots aren't my thing, so I have to find the longing and ache in small moments. So glad that's enough for you too...much appreciated, as always WIL!

Ouch! And I mean that in the best way possible. The tension, longing and "let's pretend there's nothing between us even though we both know better" is palpable in this. That last line killed me. This is beautiful, as always. And the proper words to say why escape me, as always. Thank you for this. A thousand times, thank you.
Author's Response: Oh, I think you found some perfect words - tension, longing, let's pretend - yep, there it is. Sorry to bring the ouch, but so glad you liked this, WIL!

I'm quite certain I was holding my breath there for a bit. That was delicious and a bit painful in an uncontrived way. I prefer these jab to the heart stories when it isn't angst just for the sake of angst but, instead, cuts to the heart in a way that feels real. It felt very organic. And reminded me of the moment that escaped them on the deck of that ship in Booze Cruise. Thank you for sharing this. It's beautiful.
Takes place shortly after TLM. Michael shares his vision for the sequel with Jim. It involves considerably less wardrobe than the original...and possibly 'a dance of forbidden love.' Forgive me.

Colette! What a glorious treat. :) I have not read any fic in many moons, but when I heard through the grapevine that you posted something new, there was no way I could not come over right away and check it out. Boy am I glad I did.
This is such a fun time. You have such a knack for making Michael sound just like Michael without making him a caricature of himself. Few people can do that. Your back and forth between Jim and Pam is something I so miss about the show, since they seem to rarely speak on screen anymore. And you capture that old bliss perfectly here. But then, that's always been another knack of yours.
I don't come around these anymore but I am so glad you brought me out for this. Perhaps I should just go ahead and save some of your stuff outside of this place because there are times I think about the pictures you paint so beautifully with your words and I miss it so.
Okay, novella over. Thank you so much for sharing this fun gem. I've missed you. :)
Author's Response: I'm glad you didn't think Michael was a caricature - that's a fine line, lol. But he really is a hoot to write...especially when he's bouncing off Jim. (Seriously, who wouldn't want to bounce off Jim? :o ) I've been out of the fic loop myself for quite a while, so it's great to run into you here...ah, getting nostalgic. Anyway, your reviews are always so generous - and very flattering that you remember my old stuff so vividly (paint with words - love that!) As always, many thanks WIL!
