What if Pam had gone along with Michael and Dwight to the convention? Was she ready to see Jim? Was Jim ready to face Pam?8 Oh, so good! This is the kind of fanfic I've been waiting for all summer--a good AU with a twist and fabulously written characters.

I have loved this story from the beginning, and this chapter is no exception. I'm usually not a huge fan of "smuttier" stories (though fasterthansnake's "A Fool's Bargain" is the exception), but you handled this intimacy with such mastery and delicacy that I'm still in awe. I love, love, love how you detailed that kiss, something that could have been wasted or dismissed by another author; you gave a VERB a voice that was real, sexy, and honest, and that was such a treat to read.
So well done, well done. Four Dundies to you for this (and a few Stanley Nickels for good measure). I'm sure Philadelphia Health Department would disagree, but all the choices you made for this chapter were perfect. --CH

This is an idea I've had for a long time. It is inspired by the very end of the Six Feet Under series finale (hence the title), and it seems that the 55 word style would be perfect for it. Each chapter will focus on a different Office character. 20 chapters are planned.

Something about this line really got me: “I wanted to love you." I think it sums up the Jim/Karen relationship so beautifully, and you did a wonderful job rounding out her character. Good work! -CH
Author's Response: oh, thank you! in all honesty, i felt like i had to write something on karen\'s behalf; she was getting torn up! i\'m sure she was mad and i\'m sure it was ugly, but, for me, she deserved a little bit of grace.

This is really solid, GMMBBG. I love the little changes you made, and the emotions really come full circle in this installment. I simply adore the fact that he can see she's disappointed, but still he just can't quite do it (TWSS). I also can't wait to see what happens at David Letterman's place. Will they see Paul Schaffer? Will they do a "Man on the Street" interview? Or will they have sex on Dave's lawn? All of these options are fine with me.

I love that you went with the "My Heart Will Go On" inspired moment; this kiss was perfect, and I absolutely adored every second of it in reading it through Jim's perspective. I got this idea from the JAM Therapy thread on the NBC boards. A fellow board member brought up an article stating the 10 ways a woman can best compliment her man. I am taking each one and implementing it into JAM. Pretty simple, really.
