I thought I was just here to read, but I guess I ended up writing a little. My bad. :)

I'm switching to Yes on beta-reader, because I should have more time now that I've finished my own recent story and I'll probably take a break from writing. I don't know how many requests will come from that, so I reserve the right to change back to No if I get overwhelmed. :) But I am an unrepentant grammar Nazi, and have edited a LOT in the past, so I'm totally up for a little beta.

Ooooh. I really like this story. I don't know if this scenario has been presented before or not, but I haven't seen it until now and I think you're doing a fantastic job with it. 

And for what it's worth, I think the interaction in this chapter worked really well. I like that neither of them made any big proclamations, because that wouldn't fit with who they are and where their comfort level was at that point in the show. I think the best fic fits itself to established characterization, even when the plot meanders off canon a bit. 

I'm really enjoying the story and I hope you have time to update again soon. :)

I like how you've written Pam's mom. Sometimes she gets written as more of a BFF than an actual mom-type person, but I think her support of Pam in this chapter was great. Just what I hoped for.

And now I hope for the phone call to Jim. Woo!

This is fantastic. I SO want Ryan to reach out to Kelly for reals. Not that I think Kelly in any way needs to go through the hell of having a junkie boyfriend, but you ended this in the exact perfect spot: before any of the dealing-with-addiction stuff happens, and just after we see how much Ryan needs Kelly.
