Bio:

I'm a 25 year old aspiring writer from Texas. One of my best friends just got me hooked on The Office back in March, and I have been obsessed with Jim and Pam ever since. I started writing fic in April, and if I never stop that's fine with me. These characters are amazing, and if I can capture some of their magic even a little bit, I'll be happy.

I have many other fandoms, but this is the most fun I've had in one in awhile. My other hobbies, besides John Krasinski stalking (not really, who has the resources?), include reading, sewing, photography, computers, and absorbing as much pop culture as I can without physically or mentally exploding.

“I need someplace to stay.” She said this so softly he had to strain to hear her in the stillness of the evening, leaning toward her slightly.  Something inside of him suddenly wanted to protect her.

Damn, girl. I think I need a second.

Wow.

Loving it. That's about as articulate as I can be at this moment. ;)

Author's Response: lol I, too, needed a second after I wrote it.  ;-) Glad you're loving it.  I hope that sticks.

*sigh* So wonderfully, deliciously hot, and at the same time so sweet and perfectly Jim and Pam. I love this story so much. :)

Well, I hated it in that I hate Roy and what he did to her. And there's little doubt in my mind that if Pam had actually married him he probably would have become an abusive husband later on. His behavior hinted at that.

But you did a lovely job conveying all the actions and emotions, as usual. I really love this story, and I am definitely staying tuned. :)

Author's Response:

thanks, yeah not a huge fan of Roy... but I figured he wouldn't just disappear, so...yikes.  But anyway thank you!!

Awww! *applause* And Pam gets her new life with Jim, and they both get their happy ending. Awesome! Nice work, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. :)

Author's Response: ::bows:: thanks.  I always love a little applause ;-) Glad you liked it.

Summary:

This is my first attempt at fanfiction about a few times when Pam might have known what Jim felt for her, if things were a little different.

Spoilers for some season 2 episodes, including "Diversity Day", "Email Surveillance", "Booze Cruise", and "Casino Night".

Oh my God, poor Jim! He just can't even catch a break when he's got the girl, huh? The Christmas trees all burning down was both hilarious and sad.

I can't wait to see how he finally gets around to accomplishing this. :)

Author's Response: Thanks for the review - I hope I can deliver the happy ending Jim really deserves.  :-)

This was adorable, and had such a great ending. I loved it. :)

Author's Response: yeah, I imagine he probably was saying "Finally!!!" in his head about a million times that night...  So glad you liked the story!  Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.

The torture's over, right? You're going to give us the last chapter, and he's finally going to do this thing. Right? You better!

Other than also holding my head in my hands near tears, I am really enjoying this. hee :)

This was fantastic. Your characterization was dead on, and there was yet another roadblock for them, but not the permanent, depressing kind I've seen in some fics. I loved it, and it made me almost forget there's another two months until we see what actually happens. ;)

Author's Response: Thanks so much! I seriously cannot wait until the new season starts. Thank god for fanfic or else I'm pretty sure I'd go nuts.

I have to admit, I read the first chapter of this story, then quit when I thought you had killed Pam. Because I usually don't do the death stories, you know?

I saw it had been updated tonight, and I decided to give it another go, because I just could not understand the categorization if Pam was dead. Then I got really excited when I thought the twist might be coming.

So, considering Pam is not dead, I am very much looking forward to following this story, and for what they'll have when this is all straightened out. Good job!

Summary: Post-Beach Games AU. With the exception of a few visits to her mother (and one Friday in September, when she made it halfway to Stamford before losing her nerve and turning back), Pam hasn't been more than fifty miles from Scranton since she called off the wedding.

Okay, I'm conflicted. lol First of all, let me say you're a really good writer. And I like Pam's independence and her decision to quit and travel, but at the same time I'm torn on the Jim issue. I don't really see him ever totally giving up on her like that, or their connection ever really being broken.

I know that's not the point, or whatever, and I'm not complaining. lol See, that's what I meant when I said I was conflicted. ;) I hope to see more from you, I really enjoyed it.

Author's Response:

I don't see it as him giving up on her - it's more that Jim always assumes there'll be more time and isn't really willing to take the plunge, and Pam realizes that after spending so much of her life waiting for other people, she can't do it anymore and needs to do something for herself. I definitely agree, though, it's difficult to imagine them ever being permanently cut off from each other like this.

Thank you so much for the review!

You're a fantastic writer, and I am enjoying this story so much, but...

Seriously, why doesn't Pam just run over Jim with Roy's truck already, that torturous, torturous woman! lol Of course, that's what I said through the entirety of season two, so it's totally not your fault. ;)

Author's Response:

Hah - I'm thinking that if this story were real (and, uh, you know, if these characters were real -- soo easy to forget that they aren't sometimes), Jim would probably be begging her to do just that.  :o)

Thanks so much for all your reviews!

*gasps* You're brilliant! You took your story and seamlessly blended it with the show, and now every time I watch The Dundies I will definitely think that a trip to the Poconos is what they're hedging about. Amazing.

I adore this story, and I can't wait for more from the AU chapters. :)

Author's Response:

Okay, that?  That is exactly what I was going for, seriously (the idea of writing something that could be plausible enough to potentially be hovering in the background during some of the moments we all know so well).  So, so glad you experienced it that way!

I'll get the AU stuff up as soon as I can -- and thanks, as always, for reviewing!

Oh, dear God. Why don't you just sit on my legs and repeatedly punch me in the gut?

I mean that in the good way, of course. You do angst, and you do it very well. This made me want to cry, and scream at Pam, then just take Jim (and his bare chest, OMG) all away from her if she wants to be that way. hee

So your job is done is what I'm saying. Excellent.

Author's Response:

Okay, the first part of your review made me burst out laughing.  ;o)

I promise to make it up to you (though not as much as Jim and his bare chest probably could, but that's neither here nor there....LOL).

This is absolutely beautiful.

It's kind of hard to write a crying scene and have it come off the way it does in real life, but you did that perfectly. I had tears in my eyes right along with Pam, it was so moving. And I feel that things can get better, so I can't wait for the next installments. This has been such an amazing story - in both variations - that I can't believe it'll be over soon.

Author's Response:

Gah - you people are so awesome, I tell you.  :o) Honestly, the crying scenes are among those that I really struggle with, because it's such a tenuous line between melodrama and believable sadness.  So it's great to hear that you thought it was believable, because I did struggle with that issue in particular.

...And yeah, I can't believe it'll be over soon either; this story has sort of sucked me right in to the point at which I won't know what to do with myself when it's over.  :o)

Thanks so much for the review!

Oh, this is so amazing. I realize that's a Jim compliment, but still. The tension here is deliciously palpable, and you just have everything down. I cannot wait to see what happens next, especially with her asking to stay in Jim's room. hee

Author's Response: Wow -- thanks so much; palpable tension is the thing that I wanted to drive this story the most, definitely.  So glad you're still enjoying it!

Author's Response:

It's such a relief to hear that; I just could not get this chapter right, so I finally just forced myself to let it go and post it.  So it's great to hear that you liked it!

This is excellent! I was really glad to see that you'd (finally) updated. I love how you illustrate Jim and Pam's first two weeks together, and all the ensuing angst/denial. I can't wait for more updates! :)

Author's Response:

Thanks so much!  I'm always fascinated to think about their first few weeks (after initially meeting), more so after Jim's deleted talking head from The Client.  The notion that he fell in love with her that first day at Cugino's (which I assume he did, because in the TH he says, "She was in love with someone ELSE") is just amazing to me.  Sigh.  :o)

Will be updating pretty soon - thanks again for the review!

Ooh, very nice start! This is going to get interesting. I can't wait to see more. Everyone's very in-character, and I was psyched when Pam showed up. ;)

Author's Response:

I'm gald you liked it!  I found myself getting impatient as I was writing -- sometimes when I have a very specific arc in mind (like this one), I want to rush ahead to the "good stuff."  ...So writing the setup can feel tedious sometimes -- which makes it terrific to hear you say you like the start!

That was probably the most overly verbose way of saying "thank you" ever, no?
