boyfriendless Emily uses this excuse also:
pambeesly: it's just a Hallmark holiday anyway
And my VDay evenings sound like Jim's... without the beer. Does that make it worse?
I love this part to VDay! He gave her something afterall. I love Jim.

I like your theory. Jim wants to make Pam happy, and knows he'd be great at it, but it isn't his place. So, one day late is good.

Awwwe, evil. I want to know what was on the card this year. I bet it has something to do with Dwight being a bobblehead (if he made the card the night before)
Author's Response: Hmm, maybe, maybe not ;-)

That makes me feel better about Valentine's Day, too, I guess.
I don't remember if you're going to do Season 3. I can't imagine they were IMing much, if at all, in that angsty season...
Author's Response: Yes, I am doing season 3, because I'm a masochist like that . . . and they won't be IMing each other as much is how I'm gonna get around it . .

Them making that deal after B&G was very sweet. I love that she's realistic about the fact that she's been putting off what she really wants to do, and so has he. And Jim getting her a late Valentine's card! Aw :)
Author's Response: Yeah, I think Pam was just scrambling for an excuse and being defensive when she saids she's fine with her choices. As for the card, I wasn't sure because the writers made a point of have Jim not "save the day" for Pam, but I also can't see him being able to forget that sad face.

I like that theory and I'll have lots of fun imagining what was in the card.
Author's Response: Won't we all?
