Well it does take until autumn before any of them start to find their hearts again. Nice Roy POV - don't think I have ever seen that before. All 3 parts were depressing but the last one made me want to go clean the bathroom this weekend (but not to Mariah). So, that's good. Of course the writing is spectacular as usual.

All three of them are so lost, and poor Karen is quickly losing her way as well. You capture that sense of loneliness so well here - of feeling out of place in your own life. You rock, as usual.

Beautiful. I'm reading McCuller's novel right now! I love the limbo of this, like they're all waiting for something to happen. And It never occurs to her that he might not ever come back. Oh. So sad, realising that. And Roy just wanting to know how. Wow.
