I like the detail that Karen noticed, both because she noticed and because you had Jim do it. Well told story.

WOW! That ending, with Jim and Karen, totally made my heart drop. Such a beautifully simple way of showing Jim's true emotions peeking through!

Wow, you are really good at this stuff! I'm officially in love with your brain and the fact that your mind writes the stuff I want to read without me even begging.
Great job, and this was perfect!

Oh, would he just tell her to shut the frack up? (Karen, I mean!) Tell me he drops Karen off and shows up at Pam's door - because that's what I'm going to believe....
Great phone conversation!!

I loved the closeness beetween Jim and Pam in that conversation. It really stands out in your story, in fact way more than in other pst-Coctail fics, intelligent and insightful as some of them are. Thanks actually, I really needed to see that connection and familiarity between them again.

This is soooo true in tone to the show and the charaters. I love it, but even more than that I'm envious of it because you inhabit them so well. Gorgeous.

I could just see it playing out this way on the show with Karen getting more and more p.o.'d as she listened. I do hope you'll continue, you are off to a great start!

I was really hoping we'd get to see the aftermath of the evening through fanfic. That was great. I can't wait to read what follows between Jim and Karen.

Loved the conversation. Want more of it and maybe a Karen breakup too?

I kind of want Karen to ask more about what he was talking about. I know I kept paying attention to Jim's part of the conversation, trying to imagine how Karen would be piecing it together. I think you should add a little more here --- wouldn't she want to know about Roy? What does she know about Pam & Roy and how Jim relates to it? Why should Jim be scared of Roy? What was it all about?
And Pam ---- calling Jim in the CAR while he's with Karen. WOW. Go FNB. ;)
Author's Response: Hi GreenFish! Yeah, the whole Jim/Karen conversation is in part two that I'm working on right now. I certainly didn't mean to indicate that that was the end of their conversation--Karen is the last person to think "it's none of my business" and I think Jim's side of the conversation would drive her nuts! Thanks for the review!

Yippee! Thank you for this! I can totally see this having happened in just this way. Very realistic, and very squee-worthy. I want a chapter 2!

This is EXACTLY the story I've been hoping to read ever since I saw the episode last night. Thank you so much for writing it! Seriously--it was perfect. Pam's embarassment, Jim's curiousity, both of their reactions, the conversation about Michael and Dwight, Karen getting mad because Jim called her Beesley--all of it was spot on. If you continued it I would be ever so grateful--I'm dying to know what happens next! Please continue! :) Thanks so much for writing!

Love this: "He knew he was getting sucked back in, but at the moment he really, really didn’t care." I think that really captures what Jim has been doing this season.
YAY! Cannot WAIT to see how/if Pam warns Jim and/or tells him about her conversation with Roy. Especially the "I had feelings for him too" part.

That was perfect. I'm just going to imagine this actually happened, while we're stuck waiting for six long weeks.
