Awwww....I like that you talk about other characters too. And the fact that DUnder Mifflin is, in fact, going under (which is how I think that they'd end the show).
I love this.
Thanks so much.
cheers.

Ha! Angela got knocked up!
This was a very pleasant surprise. I wasn't expecting another chapter, but what a gratifying epilogue. Thanks!

Aww, what a nice way to end the story! This was some nice fluff. And we know that Angela and Dwight would sooo name their child Abraham Octavius. I'm also glad that Karen moved on. You did well with this story, kudos!

What a great ending - I loved reading how everyone ended up with their own "happily ever after" 5 years later. Really enjoyed your story.

Thanks for a confirmed nice happy ending! It's nice that you put in that Karen was happy and forgiven Jim. And... probably okay that he'll never know it. A little guilt's probably good for Jim.
Love this line: "His Rolodex now had the strength of a grown man and a 110 pound woman combined." Did Dwight resorb Karen? (heehee)

Poor Karen!! And yes, the way that Jim did that was completely uncalled for, but it would have been more cruel if he had led her on for any longer.
Can't wait for the next part!
Thx.
cheers.

Well now I feel bad about the catfight comment. I hope the show is a little less distressing that this.

Oh, sad! Of course Karen finally felt safe and secure in her relationship when Jim said he loved her, so this was just a train wreck! Carnage is right!
I was curious what physical things Karen had let Jim do... I can't imagine Jim being Mr. Kinky, or anything. Hmmm... (trying to imagine...) Is is hot in here?
I certainly liked your take on post-Cocktails.
Author's Response: You know, this comment inspired me to write "The Erotic Adventures of Jim Halpert" for the badfic contest. I didn't have anything physical in particular when writing it, but then I got to thinking too... thanks for the insightful feedback!

Oh my god, show the carnage. Everyone loves a good fight scene.

Oh God that sucks so bad for Karen. And I say that without sarcasm for once :) I can kind of see Karen keeping Pam away from Jim after this all goes down, so it should be interesting to see what the writers actually did! Can't wait to see what you do next.

I'd like to see you continue this as its a direction few people have gone before, although personally I wouldn't go the obvious "massive angst" route.

oh NO!!! KAREN!!!
*reaches out to try to shield her*
This is so heartwrenchingly wonderful. Angst!! I love angst.
Thanks so much!
cheers.

Author's Response:
oh NO!!! KAREN!!! *reaches out to try to shield her* -- You're a kind soul! I love angst too, and unfortunately she's such a juicy target. thanks!

Sure you could end it there. But I think I would seem a bit unfinished..So by all means...continue!!!

I just read this chapter with Pat Benatar's "We Belong" playing on my ipod, and what a perfect soundtrack to such a dramatic chapter! I think you really stepped into your stride here, and I like your post-Cocktails perspective. I personally think you have one OR two chapters left in this story, especially since we have yet to see Karen's discovery or (what I hope is the) intevitable "Jim and Pam are going to be together forever" scene.
I really like this story and how you've captured the characters; can't wait for more!! --CH

I, for one, would be interested in seeing how you deal with the "carnage". As you say, it can be cathartic. On the other hand, I am a Jammer and cannot bear it if you leave Karen and Jim together. Keep up the good work!

Ouch.
I really think we need to see the conclusion of this, even in all its angst and pain. Karen deserves to speak her piece and we need to see the reactions of Jim and Pam to it, IMO.
Excellent chapter. It was great to see Jim's elation at the start of a new relationship, thinking he'd finally put his Pam obsession behind him. I can see him thinking this same thing in canon. Really nicely done.

Leave it as it is. Having us imagine without knowing is better than seeing it unfold, I think.

What was that you said about pounding on Karen's grief bone? Carnage! Carnage! Carnage!
Date: March 26, 2007 11:05 am Title: Pam
Catfight? Even if not, it would still be entertaining.
But since when could a Yaris park across 4 spaces? They must be expecting some really narrow cars at that hospital.
Author's Response: I figured she parked it accross 2 spaces, and then over the back of the spaces into the next row.

Oh, this was so good! I love how Pam doesn't back down, and Jim has to give in. I felt really badly for Karen in your last paragraph.
That said... sure, bring on the carnage. As long as Jim and Pam are together at the end of it, I'm happy. (Is that mean?)
Date: March 26, 2007 11:01 am Title: Pam
In my opinion, the carnage is necessary. jim and Pam's issues are not truly resolved until Karen is out of the picture...but thats just me.

I honestly don't know if you should write more or leave it at this. On one hand, I would love to read more, I have really enjoyed this. On the other hand, we can kind of see where this is going, and Jim *did* just tell Karen he loved her, so this is going to be brutal. So it's up to you what you feel like writing. I will read and enjoy it if you do, and I will be satisfied if you stop here. Was that vague enough :)
Date: March 26, 2007 10:33 am Title: Pam
Night Swept, I think we all need the catharsis. And angry & painful is ok, as long as we get resolution. I think we are all working out how Roy is going to exact his revenge on Jim & what will happen next, so I am enjoying reading your take on it.
