I loved this chapter - Marsha hearing from her daughter and deciding to go visit. And of course Marsha's letter to Jim. I'll be anxiously awaiting your next chapter whenever you have time to fit it in.
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review! I'm hoping to have the next chapter up sometime next week, but we'll see.

I'm glad Marsha's getting a chance to reclaim her relationship with her kids. And I think she's taken the right tack with Jim. If he doesn't get it after reading the rest of Pam's letters, he's got some kind of brain damage. And we know a guy with his mad pranking skillz has to be intelligent. ;)
Good luck with your real life stuff, and I'll be looking forward to reading the update, whenever it comes. :)
Author's Response:
Yeah, if Jim still doesn't get it I'll have Marsha come after him with a baseball bat. Or her flamethrower. Wait... that was bad!fic.
Anyways, thanks for the review! Good to know you'll be looking forward to it. That's good motivation. :)

Oh hush...stories better than yours? Come on! Your story is great. And I will wait 2-3 weeks for it, if that's what it takes. You aren't going away to reunite with your ex and your two kids are you?
Author's Response:
Well, I thought about it, but he's such a jerk sometimes. And the kids... eh? Who needs 'em?
Just kidding. I'm going on vacation and then I'm moving. Starting tomorrow. And I still have a TON of stuff to do before then! Yikes!
Thanks for the review!

Oh, man! What a cliffhanger to leave us with! Good for you. ;)
It's funny, because I'm all invested in the Jim and Pam parts of this story, their letters, but I'm also really focused on Marsha and *her* story. I love that it also took letters for Marsha to reconnect with her family. Upon reread, the letter from Audrey and Marsha's reaction made me tear up!
Good luck with your real life stuff. I'll be looking forward to reading more of your story when you can return to it -- don't disparage it, it's really good!
Author's Response: I hope it wasn't too much of a cliffhanger. And I'm really glad that you liked the parts about Marsha. :) Thanks for your comments!

All he could see was a little girl running to him. A little girl with curly brown pigtails, bright green eyes, and Pam's smile. That was what he wanted.
This began my descent into tears but what finished me off was the end with Marsha and Audrey. Everything about this chapter was incredible and I know I have to wait for the next installment, but I will try to do so patiently.
Author's Response: Aw! Thank you. Seriously, it means a lot to me to know that this affected you so much. And thanks for the rec on TwoP! I really do appreciate hearing feedback from readers, it makes you into real people to me instead of just a number in a read count. :)

Marsha's coming to SF! That's where I live and I am too excited by that.
Anyway, very exciting turns in this chapter! I am thrilled that life seems to be looking up for your creation, Marsha. And am excited to see what Jim does with his new intel. And I just love that Pam wants to play, but doesn't know the rules to this game. So true to character!
Even if it'll take a few weeks, I'm looking forward to the next chapter!
Author's Response:
You're from SF? So am I! Well, technically I live in the East Bay, but still. The city's only a bart ride away. :) Thanks for the review. I'm glad you liked this chapter.

Aw, man! I really really can't wait for Jim's reaction when he gets Marsha's letter, not to mention PAM'S letters! Nice chapter, and nice job fleshing out Marsha (because, in all honesty, she was starting to creep me out a few chapters ago), and now she's more understandable. Great stuff! Can't wait for an update!
Author's Response:
Oh good. I'm glad Marsha's not as creepy anymore. This whole backstory has been in my mind since the beginning, but there just never seemed to be a good place to work it in. And as for Jim... yeah, I'm excited too! ;)

Oh, it will be so hard to wait for the next chapter - but I totally love how you've worked Marsha's life into the story as well. It really is one of my favourite stories!!
Hope you are well and that next 2-3 weeks are filled with things you want to do, not just HAVE to do, you know??
Author's Response:
Aw, one of your favs? That's high praise! I feel like I should give you partial credit though since I never would have gotten so hooked on office fic if it weren't for your stories. And the fact that I was so hooked is what compelled me to write, so in a way it's all your fault!
My personal hiatus will be filled with a trip to the other side of the country and then a move back to school, so it's a little of both as far as things I want/have to do.

Lovely chapter. I like how Pam is starting to suspect that those letters are from Jim. Looking forward to seeing what happens next!
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. :)

Hooray!! Marsha's getting a chance to fix her own life, and Jim knows where to get the letters. (Although the fact there weren't any makes me think maybe Pam has figured out she should throw those out somewhere else!)
Azlin, who's going to watch your TV while you experience this... what did you call it? real life? Don't miss 4 Offices in a row while you're having real life. Some are supersized, so they may be at weird times.
I will look forward to more GCL when you get to it.
Author's Response:
Well, as for the TV, I have heard legends about this magical thing called tivo, but sadly my house has not yet entered that dream realm. So, I will be catching TO as best I can on the road. The other day I was having a conversation with my mom about our vacation plans and I mentioned that I needed to be to the hotel by 8 to watch it and she just rolled her eyes. Philistine.
Thanks for the review!

Gah! How am I going to survive without fanfic.... seriously. We will die. I will see you in fanfic heaven (where there are non-dead Jims waiting for us).
Um, Marsha. Saturday I was up by 6 am. And even on normal Saturdays I am up by 9 at the latest. Normally 8. I think I am a freak.
'He wanted... everything.' break my heart why dontcha!
I love how we are learning more about Marsha, and how Pams letters to Jim aren't the only letters anymore.
See you in fanfic heaven :)
Author's Response:
I know it's gonna be awful. :(
Lol, on Saturday I woke up at 6:15, for absolutely no reason and never went back to sleep. I was so mad. I'm glad you like the stuff about Marsha!
I'll see you in fanfic heaven, you bring the Jims, I'll bring the grape soda and Sun Chips. I'm sure after hanging with us they'll forget all about Karen and Pam. ;)

So, so sweet. Stupid Marsha needs to give Jim the mushy letters, though! Hee.
Author's Response:
Thanks! And I promise the mushy letters will come to Jim eventually. ;)
Date: April 19, 2007 09:45 pm Title: I was feeling like a creep
she's starting to figure it out! yes!!! updates soon please?!
Author's Response: Cute name! I'll try to have the next chapter up by Monday or Tuesday. Hope that's soon enough! Thanks for the review! ;)

Hooray for a new chapter! I'm enjoying the story. :)
Author's Response: Thanks I'm really glad to hear that! ;) I'm really enjoying Practical Jokes!

Yeah new chapter! I can't wait until Jim gets one of the ones that's a true "love" letter! What will his reaction be?
Author's Response:
You'll just have to wait and see! Thanks for the review.

more, more, more!! I want to get to the part where they figure it all out! :-)
There. Now you know how I feel when people keep poking me for more Squirrel! ;-) I really do love this story, though - so I am anxious to read more!
Author's Response:
I have so much more respect for you now! And I'm sorry about any poking I may have done in the past. But I promise the good stuff is coming soon! ;)
Date: April 19, 2007 02:27 pm Title: I was feeling like a creep
Interesting. Even with these letters, Jim's still confused!
And poor Marsha - even the letters aren't making her happier about her life. Maybe she needs to write some letters to people in her life, not just read letters which others have written!
And Pam... basketball? Major clue, dear!
But Azlin, you need to leave your "bad" ending somewhere, maybe as an epilogue!
Author's Response: I don't know. I think the bad ending had it's moment in the sunshine and needs to be put to rest. But we'll see. Great spec on the Marsha front! That's actually pretty close to what's about to happen.
Date: April 19, 2007 01:17 pm Title: I was feeling like a creep
Can't wait for Marsha to give Jim some meatier letters... Although it just kills me how dense he is, cause that last one was pretty meaty. :)
Enjoying this a ton!
Author's Response: Marsha giving Jim meatier letters....hm...now why didn't I think of that? Just kidding. I promise it's coming soon!!
Date: April 19, 2007 01:07 pm Title: I was feeling like a creep
Pam is reading Jim's letters!!!! YAY!!! I cannot wait to see what comes of THAT! Will she figure out what they are supposed to be? Will be have another McPants where Jim has to come clean for snooping on Pam? This is getting goood, Azlin!
Author's Response:
Thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying it! ;)
Date: April 19, 2007 12:48 pm Title: I was feeling like a creep
Aww, no more bad!fic ending... I guess I will just have to let this work.
This was great. A short review because I have a quiz in 2 hours. but great installment. now time to study.
Author's Response: Thanks! Good luck on your quiz!

This is such a great, ambitious story, and the letters are so well done. I have to admit, though, that I think the table has been set for the payoff for a little while now and I could see myself getting a little less invested if it's deferred for many more chapters. That may just be my impatient nature, though. I'm also finding it a little hard to suspend my disbelief that Jim wouldn't act on these letters in some way. I'm still a big, big fan though.
Author's Response: I know. And I'm sorry if it feels like it's been dragging. I think a lot of people are getting frustrated with that aspect of this story--including me. But I promise if you'll stick with it for just a little bit longer it's about to get a lot more interesting. Thanks for the review!

Very interesting! Keep it up!
Author's Response: Thanks! I'll do my best. ;)

Continue to love it, love it! Can't wait for more!
Author's Response: Thanks! I keep saying this, but I really am glad that people like this story. It makes it a lot more fun for me to write. ;)
Date: April 13, 2007 11:34 pm Title: the deep end...
Kyaa~
So sweet. Ten-year-old Jim is adorable. <33
Author's Response: Thanks! And yes Jim is adorable at 10. Or any age for that matter.

Very cute kid!Jim letter. His mom sounds like a hippie. Hey, that would explain his shaggy hairdo! ;)
I can't wait to read some fresh Pam letters. I think we're drifting away from the love a tiny bit. And I love the love. Who doesn't love the love? :)
Author's Response:
Don't worry, I promise the love will make a smashing come-back in the near future!
And thanks for the hippie comment because now I'm picturing 10 year old Jim in a tye-dyed T-shirt singing "All You Need Is Love". Which is making me laugh like crazy.
