Oh, what a lovely, poignant line! This whole thing has such a sweet melancholy to it. Beautiful work, really. It made me sad for poor Karen, but not sad enough to want to stop it from happening. Also, I loved the detail about his haircut. A nice contrast, and one that a "hussy" would notice right away!
Author's Response: Don't know if you missed a small detail, but the fic is actually about Pam. =] I wrote it that confusing intentionally, and you really have to watch for the one moment where i drop the pronouns and call her by name.
