I am excited to see where you're going to take this and I am loving the Ryan and Pam interaction. I think the part about the office doing weird things to Ryan is totally plausible since you so see fun Ryan every once in awhile like when he was on the sales call with Dwight or at the bar during Cocktails.
Author's Response: I'm so glad you said that! People seem to peg Ryan as an ass sometimes, but I just think he hates his job, haha. I think if we saw him out of the office more it'd be different. Glad you're liking it!

I love your stuff, but something about this story just fills me with dread. I don't think I can bear to watch Jim's heart broken for like the 3981st time as he watches Pam and Ryan. I actually LIKE Ryan and I don't want to have him fall under the Pam spell (ryan and kelley 4 eva) only to have his heart broken. Or conversely, I don't know if I could take it he and Pam end up together either...sigh...but I know I'll still be reading, that's why I'm still watching too...we're all masochists

Hurrah! This is a really fun premise, and I hope you're telling the truth about more soon. ^^
I'm kind of in love with your treatment of Pam's impression of Ryan, especially (okay, well, she sort of doesn’t), It feels really true to the characters on The Office, and also the apathetic pettiness of an actual office.
Also, I'm happy to beta for you (if only because I want to read more, sooner!) if you still need one.
