Oh how this story made me cry! The shouting in the car. the horrible, awful words said. His panic when he couldn't find her.
Then the really hot (yet quick) sex. And then deciding "fuck this waiting crap where one of us might chicken out of the relationship" and getting married in Vegas that very night.
Wow. What did Karen say when she found out they were married?!?
Great, great, great story.

The hot chocolate is a perfectly Jim thing to do- we all know that Pam Loves Tea is canon, but hot chocolate is the perfect wintry comfort drink and I loved you put it in there :)

Devastating, angsty, intense, real, and different.
I loved the entire thing. It was amazing. I especially liked the angsty beginning. I'm all for a little heartbroken JAM.

Great story! I thoroughly enjoyed the anger and the happiness. (You do anger really well! A lot of "angry Jim & Pam" stories just end up sounding really stilted."

What a great ending!! I just loved that Jim booked the tickets to Vegas before telling Pam and also before breaking up with Karen! And I also loved how you wove the future paragraphs in with the present. Thanks for the happy ending which for a while I was wondering if we would see...

this last one is my favorite...i like how it bounces back & forth between the present & future...

I loved all the flashbacks mixed in with their doubts. Knowing Jim & Pam will be happy for many many years makes me happy. Wonderful end to the story. And Jim calling her Halpert at the end was a great touch.

aww, I loved it!

You should write more fluff, this was lovely. I think it was smart to use the flash forward to show them through the years, and I perosnally loved seeing how uncertain they were contrasted with their happy life together. Also, him calling her Halpert instead of Beesly, can i tell you that I got the biggest happiest goofy grin on that!!! Great story, very emotional, very unexpected, but altogether wonderful.

This was the most perfect, sweetest ending to your fic. I don't know what you're talking about - your fluff was beautifully written! I really, really loved this whole story.

I respectfully disagree with your chapter notes. Based on this epilogue, you write amazingly good fluff. This is wonderful. I love the current mixed with the future, what you've written and how you've written it, everything.
Thanks so much for this story.
Author's Response: I can't begin to thank you enough for all of your kind reviews, not only for this story but for my others as well. The lines you pointed out in the last chapter were my favorites too (just the idea of Jim thinking of Pam while having sex with Karen is just so hot). I really think the eloping idea was a tad cliche but somehow dysfunctional enough to be perfectly appropriate for these two. You're the bestest!

Wow. Eloping to Vegas. I did not expect that. (/Pam) I just love the way he goes to the computer and does that, then is unsure when explaining it. I do think sometimes that just getting married is the way to go. Not in most cases, but for these two? Oh, yeah. What a great way to relieve the angst and uncertainty.
But... I loved it. Regarding your chapter end notes, I also think that once they are together, they will be "together" pretty quickly. Jim's paragraph about how he'd like to get over her but can't is really amazing. For a woman to hear “I wish that when I’m inside Karen that I don’t have to pretend it’s you to come,” that's like Game Over - he is mine. Amazing. I also liked: “I put a whole fucking human and three states between us.” What a succinct way to put what Jim has been doing.
fasterthansnakes, your "Jim and Pam get together and plan to elope to Vegas" story is the prettiest "Jim and Pam get together and plan to elope to Vegas" story of all the "Jim and Pam get together and plan to elope to Vegas" stories. And I looked at all of them. (/Roy)
And I see you must have written the epilogue, so off I go to see!

This is great. I love how you couple the moments of "risks" and the moments of "rewards". The whole story was nicely done. I really enjoyed it all equally - both e angst and fluff.

AAwww soo cute! I loved the nervousness on both their parts and the little glimpses into the future (chocolate bunny was my favorite)---please keep churning out great angsty/fluffy fics!

Wow...angry Jim was really making me sad...but then the reconciling and smut...totally made up for it. Jim's thoughts in ch. 4 about Karen not being Pam...perfect.
