This is fantastic! A very believable backstory for someone as uptight as Angela Martin!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. So surprised to get a review all these years later, and was nice to have a reason to revisit.

I missed this one the first time around (there are so many stories it's hard to keep up). I love all the back story and I think there's a lot more to Angela than we see, and you do a great job with her This chapter is really well written considering how heavy the subject matter is. It shows a lot toward why she'd appreciate a guy like Dwight (who is noble and protective)
Author's Response:
Aww, thanks. I am finally getting around to responding to this review (finals, broken computers, NOT FUN).
Thanks for the review though, it means a lot! Glad you liked my Angela

Aw, you've really got me feeling for Angela here. This was a very believable picture of Angela's childhood - that she's somewhat uptight and serious about her morals, but not as much as the Angela we know today, a change probably caused by so many incidents like this where she was taken advantage of, mocked, and overall treated wrongly. Sad.
Author's Response:
Yeah, I am glad you like it. In reality, I am a lot like Angela (probably more than I even admit to myself). It is probably believable that if those situations happened to me (one less extreme version happened to me of one of them), I would probably be worse off than I am.
I just really always connected with her the more I learn, because even though she is generally a pain in the ass, she is a lot like me.

Poor Angela!
Author's Response: yeah, it wasn't supposed to be all dark and depressing when i started out to write it... oops!

Wow. That was intense, yet does make sense. It makes me appreciate her relationship with Dwight even more, because it is a healthy, wonderful relationship for her to be in. Obviously, I loved this.
Author's Response:
Hehe :). Thanks for the review. Now go write a less intense one.
When I first started thinking about it, it wasn't going to be anything like it. My basic idea was to describe Angela (sans Dwight), because I am a LOT like her, but I can't understand Dwight. And then, I wrote this. And then I appreciated Dwight. I never thought I would type that sentence. EVER

poor angela, god no wonder she's wound so tight if that's her past. I hope dwight makes her feel beautiful and brilliant.
Author's Response: Yeah, Angela's had a tough past. I didn't realize she did...I didn't expect it to be so dark. But I think Dwiht is good for her, as much as that shocks me to say!

You're welcome for the beta. I said it before, and I'll say it again, I love the common thread between these scenarios. Your Angela is very complex!
Author's Response: :). the common thread being sad and depressing? I've gotta read your fic also, its on my list, don't worry. I loved the title, and then you got a blue ribbon!
