This was a beautiful little piece of writing and just sums them up so nicely. One of my favorite lines:
"Then she pulled away from him and he disconnected entirely, reversing direction, so that where she once retreated she now chased his disappearing image on the horizon."
I think Pam is ready to "chase" him on the show. Can't wait to see how it all plays out!

It was really great, and the romantic nerd in me loved this line:
Only love can make parallel lines converge.

She twists him, bends him around her massive pull, until once again he takes on the conformation that complements her, completes them. He cannot fight gravity.
I love the way you use simple language to describe a complex idea- not just the geometry, but the relationship. This is a fabulous piece, which of course does not surprise me because the quality of your work is always outstanding.

Author's Response: Glad you liked it. No metaphor is ever perfect, so although true parallels would never converge, I hope Jim and Pam abandon their metaphor soon and converge in a stairwell or elevator or parking lot...Thanks for reviewing!

I'm feeling emotional this morning, so this made me cry. It's just so beautifully written, and so perfectly them. Sometimes I'm just completely in awe of the depth you present in your writings. Which is why I'm *so* glad you're back.
